Ingridnewkirk_iamananimal_240 Even though everyone in the TV Party corporate office owns several really nice leather jackets, we respect and admire the work of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals -- especially when they persuade actresses and models to pose nude. And apparently HBO feels the same way because it's airing the new documentary "write letters protesting animal cruelty if they're so inclined.

Attire:
Fur (just kidding). Depending on the mind-set of your guests, you could encourage the wearing of little more than strategically placed fig leaves. If that's a no-go, suggest naturally dyed clothing made from hemp, soy or bamboo. PETA's Web site, www.peta.org, has a list of producers of compassionate clothing.

On the menu:
We suggest apples and plenty of them, because apples never hurt anybody -- at least not on purpose. Head over to PETA's sister Web site www.GoVeg.com to get recipes for leading a vegetarian lifestyle and a free vegetarian starter kit. Which, we're guessing, is an apple.

On the hi-fi:
Stick with PETA-friendly artists like Shirley Manson, Sophie Monk, Simple Plan, Pink, Paul McCartney, Morrissey, Joan Jett, Billy Idol and Weird Al Yankovic.

The showstopper:
Make a difference! Let your local newspaper know you'll be naked outside an area fish farm protesting the cruelty that goes on within. Hey, fish have feelings, too, and no one ever stands up for them. Make a placard saying "Free the Fish!" on one side and "You're Fine Without the Omega-3s" on the other. Plan to get arrested.
