Edie Falco returns in 'Nurse Jackie'
It's not an exaggeration to say that at least once a day I quote "Arrested Development" to someone ("There's always money in the banana stand!"), wish the show was still on the air or cross my fingers that the much talked about "Arrested Development" movie really does happen.
Many of you are worried about Ugly Betty.
The dramedy will get booted off the air on March 26 to make room for Samantha Who? and the new comedy In the Motherhood. (Let me pause for a moment to announce how annoying it is that a show I like gets booted for another show I like. Why couldn't they take Wife Swap off the air to make room for Samantha Who? Booo I say. Boooooo.)

The first season of Privileged comes to a close Tuesday at 9 p.m. on The CW. I'm not going to lie to you -- I'm worried. Lately it does seem like every new show I like doesn't live to see a second season. But I want to believe in the vast television landscape there is room for a quality show like Privileged -- a show that combines teen angst, compelling family drama, rocky romances,and navigating your post-college twenties with the best pop-culture references since I stopped visiting Stars Hollow.
Some of my friends started an email chain this week with the theme being "Why is Lynette always such a bitch?"
They were talking, of course, about Desperate Housewives.

TV "will they or won't they" romances are a timeless television convention. They reel us in, keep us coming back each week and really make us care.
But there is only so much back and forth, back and forth, and back and forth a TV viewer can take. Eventually a show has to decide or risk repelling the viewer.
