Well I hope you got plenty of rest during the holidays and didn't make any crazy resolutions like to watch less TV (the horror!). There is so much TV coming your way this month that I can't wait to discuss with you like the 100th episode of "How I Met Your Mother" (January 11), the premiere...

Here are my favorite TV quotes of 2009: "If Skynet actually did exist in the Future, a perfect way to infiltrate and destroy all of mankind would be to send Terminators back posing as actors who have played Terminators in popular films and television series, lulling us into a false sense of security - i.e.:...

It's no secret that I love TV. Sure we have our problems - sometimes TV lets dead characters linger too long or cancels a show I adore or ruins a perfectly good character (I'm talking to you "Desperate Housewives"). But the reason I keep coming back night after night is because TV always entertains me,...

Click your remotes together three times and repeat after me, "I will give this new season of 'Scrubs' a chance. I will give this new season of 'Scrubs' a chance. I will give this new season of 'Scrubs' a chance." I can't hear you. Don't think I won't come to your house to get you...

'Scrubs' as we know it scrubs out . . .

Is it the season finale or the series finale? "Scrubs" ends its eighth season in a one-hour episode tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC amid talks that the show could return in some new form next season. But even if Zach Braff makes a few guest appearances on a revamped version of "Scrubs," it certainly seems like this will be the series finale of the "Scrubs" we have known and loved for eight years.

Jasonmesnick_thebachelor_240 ABC is making big news this week because of The Bachelor brouhaha.

I've never been a fan of the show (couldn't even make it through the first season) so although I find it fascinating that a man can go from most desirable dad in America to deceptive, despicable cad overnight, I can't muster up that much interest in the story.

Elizadushku_trucalling_240_003 Do you remember last year how dismayed I was about The Return of Jezebel James? I couldn't get past the fact that the dismal comedy was from the woman behind Gilmore Girls.

I know many of you are concerned about the show and I want to assure that it is NOT the same situation with Dollhouse, the new series from Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly) premiering tonight at 9 p.m. on FOX. Having loved, loved, loved Buffy, my expectations are probably even higher than they were for Jezebel James.

TV "will they or won't they" romances are a timeless television convention. They reel us in, keep us coming back each week and really make us care.

But there is only so much back and forth, back and forth, and back and forth a TV viewer can take. Eventually a show has to decide or risk repelling the viewer.

Tomcavanagh_trustme_240 Reports of the similarities between Mad Men and Trust Me, which premieres Monday at 10 p.m. on TNT, are greatly exaggerated.
