Prison Break
Breaking back in to 'Prison Break'
Here are some of my favorite TV quotes from 2008:
Last night's episode of Boston Legal was, as Alan (James Spader) summed up, eventful. The firm has gone bankrupt, Shirley and Carl are engaged and Alan put forth a convincing speech about the state of racism in America.
I think we all know by now that sometimes I irrationally dislike a show.
That my anger towards it does not fit the crime the show has committed.
That's the case with The Ex List (premiering Friday at 9 p.m. on CBS).

Premiere week is finally here!
I'm so happy that I'm not even going to talk about how awful the Emmys were last night. Really they were the worst ever and I think blatantly highlighted the lingering hostility between reality TV and scripted TV, but I digress.

We've now entered the time of year where every day new DVDs arrive. It is still the epic battle of me vs. the clutter and yes the clutter is still winning. And in case you're wondering NBC has yet to send out any of their new shows. I'm going to start some sort of vigil. Like it's Day 36 of NBC DVD Watch '08. Maybe I'll do something like not eat dark chocolate until they arrive. It will be difficult but my protest must be heard.
One of the best things about TV is its ability to immediately transport us to other worlds.
Back in 1998 when I first started writing the TV Gal column, Luke Perry returned to Beverly Hills, 90210 (which I always took as a personal favor).
I want Serena (Blake Lively) and Dan (Penn Badgley) to spin off to a new series called The Show I Don't Watch. I do not XOXO them. At all.
