It really is quite challenging to be a good TV couple. First of all viewers have to want you together which is no easy feat. You never quite know what's going to create a palpable on-screen chemistry. Will you be a Buffy and Angel or a Buffy and Riley? A Dylan and Kelly or an...

You know I tend to pick on the shows I deeply care about. So admittedly I've been a little hard on "How I Met Your Mother" this season. But that's because I know how good the show can be. I'm so happy to tell you that the 100th episode (Monday at 8 p.m. on CBS) is...

As I say every year, some times great writing fuses with a brilliant performance to form a perfect television character. Ones who we so believe in that we're sad when they're sad, happy when they're happy, root for them to find true love as if they were our best friend, and are heartbroken for them...

So here's my big announcement of the week. I think the big "CSI" trilogy worked. I do like Dr. Ray Langston better now than I did two weeks ago. Sure there were laughable moments. Ah a new season. A time to wipe the slate clean, forgive past transgressions (RIP Dead Denny), and face the fall with an open mind and a flexible season pass manager. Let's take a look at two shows returning this week with quite a bit riding on their premiere. "Bones" (Thursday, FOX, 8 p.m.): To me...

Amypoehler_parksandrecreation_240 Is "Parks and Recreation," the new comedy premiering Thursday at 8:30 p.m. on NBC, a lot like "The Office?" Yes it is. It's filmed in a mockumentary style with all the characters addressing the camera. The pace, the cutaways, the lingering shots and the mugging all seems fairly familiar.
