Christinaapplegate_samanthawho_240 Many of you have aptly titled "Samantha Who?," which returns to the schedule Thursday at 8:30 p.m. on ABC, "Samantha Where?" The show hasn't been on the air since December 1. ABC kept adding it to the schedule and taking it off to make room for epic long episodes of "The Bachelor." The funny comedy deserves more than a four month break in the middle of the season.

Rosebyrne_damages_s2_240 Let's take a look at how some of our favorite shows are doing:

Damages: I've heard complaints from many of you that this season is moving way too slowly. On a scale of 1 to Izzie's diagnosis on Grey's Anatomy, I'd say the pace is about a five. And I agree the pace is an adjustment -- plot points simmer for episode upon episode. A depressed Ellen's (Rose Byrne) energy level is at all time low.

Felicityhuffman_desperatehousewives_s4_240 Some of my friends started an email chain this week with the theme being "Why is Lynette always such a bitch?"

They were talking, of course, about Desperate Housewives.

Carlos_reiko_240 Love makes the TV story line go 'round.

Without it, the supply closets would go unused on Grey's Anatomy. The siblings would all only have each other to fight on Brothers & Sisters. Ted wouldn't have anything to talk to his children about on How I Met Your Mother. And Gossip Girl's website would be empty.

Cobiesmulders_howimetyourmother_240 Ross and Rachel. Carrie and Big. Sam and Diane.

TV "will they or won't they" romances are a timeless television convention. They reel us in, keep us coming back each week and really make us care.

But there is only so much back and forth, back and forth, and back and forth a TV viewer can take. Eventually a show has to decide or risk repelling the viewer.

Tiffanydupont_greeks2_240 Should the 2008 TV season be forgot and never brought to mind?

Well, yes, parts of it. But this is the most wonderful time of the year (or at least that's what all the songs say) so let's take a look at some of my favorites of 2008.

Brookesmith2_greysanatomy_s3_240 We've spent a lot of time this month celebrating our favorite TV things of 2008. But I thought we would take a break from all the happy, happy, joy, joy and talk about some of the things we didn't like this year. Don't worry we'll be back to all the good times next week.
