Still not high on 'Weeds'

You know I only tend repeatedly criticize the shows I care about.

That's why I must revisit again how disappointed I am in "Weeds" this season.

Riddle me this: What is going on with Marshall and Mary on "In Plain Sight?"

I have a problem when I watch reality TV. Far too often, I get embarrassed for the participants. I have a nasty tendency to project how I would feel on to the people on the screen.

There was a time when we didn't know who Katherine Heigel was or why we would ever be exasperated with her storyline. We weren't aware of how hilarious Jim Parsons could be.

You know I like to give pilots the benefit of the remote control.

Phew! I've made my way through all the pilots for the new fall season.

We've had about 36 hours to process/cry/rejoice/lie on the floor in protest, so let's discuss the Emmy nominations.

Oh the drama! You know how I get when I think I'm going to like a show and I don't.

I have, shall we say, a contentious relationship with the Emmys. There's a part of me who will never get over that they ignored "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" during its seven year run. How can I respect an award show that pretended as if one of the greatest prime time dramas didn't even exist? (Grrrr . . . argh!)

Sometimes on TV, promising ideas can turn into lousy shows (I think the time has come for me to officially give up on "The Philanthropist" and sometimes ideas that sound totally kooky can turn into great shows (the best example, in my opinion, being "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
