It's Finale Season - What Do You Need to See?
I'm watching as fast as I can.
I don't know about you but my TiVos are very angry with me. They're working hard to record everything and I'm doing my best to keep up. But sometimes my TiVos act out and delete things before I've watched them or don't change the channel to the correct channel. TiVo says its on ABC but it's really on public access television. They are particularly fond of public access TV for some reason. Perhaps they want to see a real life version of "Parks & Recreation."
It's funny how there is so much on now and in less than a month, many of our favorite shows will be on a long summer's nap. Here are the things I need to see before the end of the season.
Jin and Sun reunion on "Lost:" There are many many things we need to see happen on "Lost" before the final music fade out on May 13 but this is the one I'm looking forward to the most. My favorite couple has spent the season in two different time zones and with not nearly enough screen time. (How cruel to have Jin live but then have him barely on for most of the season). The most emotional moment for me last season was when Sun flew away as the boat Jin was on exploded. I'm kind of expecting their reunion to top that.
Ryan to get his comeuppance on "Brothers & Sisters:" Given the panic I was in last year about this time on the Rebecca is not a Walker situation, I have to say this storyline has played out fairly well. Sure they taunted me with the possibility that Rebecca and Ryan could date (all together now, "ewwww") but that crisis seems to have been successfully avoided. Ryan has some serious anger management issues. He's mad at his dad and taking it out on the Walker siblings. As ridiculous as it is that Sarah would suddenly give him a job at Ojai and shares of stock, it does set him up for some good drama. I'm also toying with the idea that he could be a total fraud and that the real Walker sibling could still be out there. Just throwing it out there. But I don't know how many faux Walkers the show can take.
Tony is revealed to still be a good guy on "24:" Come with me into my land of denial where it rains dark chocolate, where TiVo never makes a recording mistake and you can watch new episodes featuring Veronica Mars in the FBI. It's such a happy place. Okay it's much more likely that we will get a Tony/Jack showdown before the season is out but I hope it at least includes a better understanding of what is going on with Tony and how he reached such a nefarious place.
What do you need to see before the season is over? Talk about it below.
A Fun Link
I was out to dinner on Wednesday night and I missed the "American Idol" results show. It wasn't until I woke up Thursday morning that it occurred to me, "Huh, I never checked to see who got kicked off 'Idol.'" I'm just not all that interested now that Anoop is gone. He was my favorite.
Thankfully Anoop will be on "Best Week Ever" tonight at 11p.m. on VH-1. Check out his scruffy look and the links here and here.
Quotes of the Week -- Special "Chuck" season finale section
"Son, why are you letting Sam Kinnison and an Indian Lesbian ruin your wedding?" Woody to his son Captain Awesome when Lester and Jeff sang at Ellie and Awesome's wedding on "Chuck." Thanks to Ryan and Erynn who were the first to submit this week's most popular quote.
"Thanks for saving my life at least once a week." Chuck to Casey on "Chuck." Thanks to Deanna for the quote.
"Guys, I know kung-fu." Chuck on "Chuck." Thanks to Kelly for the quote.
Quotes of the Week
"Rusty, he made nachos. That's like Kappa Tau kryptonite." Cappie to Rusty about Dale cooking for the fraternity on "Greek."
"You keep saying you're not her father but the way you act you consider her family." Derek to the Chief about Meredith on "Grey's Anatomy."
"What does that make us? CTU-lite?" Janice on "24." Thanks to Joshua for the quote.
"You did it to make his life better. It was a caring act which you did in a way that was immoral and illegal but baby steps." Wilson to House about House putting cochlear implants in a patient without his permission on "House."
"No you raised me to be passive aggressive. My bitchiness, that was self taught." Andrew to Bree on "Desperate Housewives."
"You couldn't pull off a caper if it was sitting on a plate of lox." Veronica to Ted on "Better Off Ted."
"My throat shuts up faster than a girl in math class." Kenneth about his allergy to strawberries on "30 Rock."
"Come with us Freckles." Sawyer to Kate on "Lost." The look on Juliet's face when she heard James call Kate by his nickname for her was devastating.
Exchange of the Week
"You gotta crack some skulls Chiklis style." Ryan to Michael on "The Office."
"Yeah 'The Commish.'" Michael's response.
That's all for today. I'm back next week to talk about the season (perhaps series?) finale of "Scrubs" and "Dollhouse," thoughts on "Bones," "Castle," and I'll have a review of the 15 minute series finale that will be on the "October Road" season two DVD. Have a question? Seen a familiar face? Want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at amytvgal@zap2it.com

I've got to know who Alpha is (yes, I know we find out tonight).
And I really want to see Booth and Bones sleep together. Which, as I understand, is going to happen in the finale, so...
I'm all set! ;)
Please let us know your thoughts on the OR finale when you have a chance to see it!! I can't wait, I hope you give it a thumbs up!
I really hope they reunite Sun & Jin as well....
I'm looking forward to the finale of CSI NY, I'm worried about who's getting killed off and who will be in danger.
But can't wait for the Danny/Lindsay baby to be born next week.
For me, it's not so much what I need to see as what I hope will come back! Chuck's season finale ended in a good place but I love that show so much, I don't want it to be over. The same with Life. T:TSCC's finale was such a game changer - I know the chances of it coming back are slim to none but I'd really like to see where the story went from there. I agree with many that Dollhouse needs room and time to grow, but if it comes down to T:TSCC and Dollhouse, I pick the former.
And Amy, I'm completely with you in that happy place where Veronica Mars is in the FBI. I still watch that little sample clip on the season 3 dvds and sigh...
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Castle. I'm surprised to find myself looking forward to Mondays more and more. It's fun and light and entertaining. Plus, it has Nathan Fillion, what more could you want?!
Gotta add one more for the Chuck section
"Chuck me" Casey
I think that the Office quote was to crack some skulls.
I'm really looking forward to the LOST season finale in two weeks. I just want to know what happened to Rose and Bernard!!
Thanks for the correction on "The Office" typo.
I'm all about seeing that Jin/Sun reunion on LOST, but with only one season left on that show, I'm nervous they're gonna dangle that carrot for a little while longer.
PS - Where in Hades is Claire??
