They're Baaaaack . . . Characters Returning to a TV set near you
Well you know it's May sweeps (which began yesterday and ends May 20) because so many familiar faces are stopping by their old stomping grounds for a visit. Warning: If you don't want to know anything about what's coming up in May, skip to the quotes of the week section.
Let's take a look and rate my excitement on a scale of 1 to the possibility of Luke Perry returning to "90210." (No, I haven't given up on that dream).
Henry returns to "Ugly Betty:" The series, which was just picked up for another season (hooray!), returns to the schedule next Thursday, April 30. And Christopher Gorham, who is still surviving "Harper's Island," will visit Betty before the season is out. I think those two still have a lot of unresolved issues and it will be kind of fun to see how he reacts to Betty dating Matt. I like Matt, but I think I'm still rooting for Henry. How about you? Rating: 5.
Georgina returns to "Gossip Girl:" She'll return to the Upper East Side beginning next Monday. But as much as I really like Michelle Trachtenberg, I wasn't wild about Georgina last season. I actually found her rather boring. Even her showdown with Blair lacked oomph. Will things be different this time? Rating: 2
Holly returns to "The Office:" This show is in the midst of a great streak. I'm officially declaring last night's episode, the best episode of "The Office" this season. I loved, loved, loved it. It was poignant, funny, and really showcased Michael. We all know Michael still pines for Holly and they do have a lot of unresolved issues. Plus Amy Ryan was so perfect in this role. I can't wait to see what happens when she returns on May 14. Here's hoping she has more scenes with Kevin. Rating: 8.
Zack returns to "Bones:" It's almost been a year since we had the shocking reveal that Zack was Gormogon's apprentice. And even though Eric Millegan has already returned once this season and we were comforted by the fact that he wasn't a killer, he's still in a mental institution for a crime he didn't commit. It would be wonderful to put closure to this story line when he comes back on May 14. Rating: 7.

Quotes of the Week
"I died just like I lived. As the complete and utter center of attention." Edie's voice over on "Desperate Housewives."
"I would like to think you would know by now t hat no one can change my father's mind when it's made up." Kim to Renee on "24." I'm kind of liking having Kim back on "24." How about you?
"Well, well, well how the turn tables . . ." Michael getting the cliché wrong when he arrives to negotiate with David and Charles on "The Office."
"If there's anyone who understands how a girl can change how you feel about a friend, it's your Big Brother. Mostly because of your big sister. Good God, this campus is incestuous." Cappie to Rusty on "Greek." Thanks to Sean for the quote.
"Wow, she's,um,... I like her." Sam to Pete about Pete's new girlfriend Lisa on "Private Practice." Thanks to Jennifer who loved this quote because Lisa is played by Idina Menzel, Taye Diggs' wife.
"I was going to sew an S into the chest. Is that tacky?" Stiletto (Lois Lane) to Jimmy Olson on "Smallville." Thanks to David for the quote.
Exchange of the Week
"Kevin this is insane. I've come back and Ojai Foods has turned into Ojai Dudes." Sarah to Kevin on "Brothers & Sisters."
"You sound like a gay Justin." Kevin's response. Thanks to Ryan for the quote.

"How often do people die in this neighborhood?" Castle to Becket on "Castle."
"Same as everywhere else. Just once." Becket's response. Thanks to Candy for the quote.
Inside Joke of the Week
Sandy loved this inside joke that found Dean and Sam meeting the man who claimed to be their brother at Cousin Oliver's Diner on "Supernatural." This is, of course, a reference to "The Brady Bunch" who added the character Cousin Oliver when they feared the original Brady children were getting to old. Many people think this is when "The Brady Bunch" jumped the shark, which is of course the name of the "Supernatural" episode. Such good times!
Ask TV Gal
I was wondering if they will bring back "Fallen." Is it on DVD? Will they be showing it again? Charmaine
My friends at ABC Family confirmed for me that there will be no more new episodes of "Fallen." And while the episodes aren't on DVD, they are available on iTunes and Xbox Marketplace. And you can currently see Paul Wesley, who played Aaron on "Fallen," as Kim's husband Stephen on "24." And he's also been cast in "Vampire Diaries," a CW pilot for next season.

That's all for today. I'm back on Monday with a review of the season finale of "Heroes," thoughts on "Grey's Anatomy," and more. Have a question? Seen a familiar face? Want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at amytvgal@zap2it.com. Have a great weekend. Talk to you on Monday.

I would love to see Luke Perry back on 90210! For me, it's all about the old cast!
I am actually pretty sick of all Betty's "love interests". Henry turned out to be kind of a dog: he went out with Betty, then knocked up his ex, and apparently he'll be returning *with yet another girlfriend*. Gio's tantrum over Betty not going to Italy with him was just silly, and I just plain don't like Matt. He seems skeevy, I don't know why.
I am excited about seeing Zack back on Bones. Ryan O'Neal is due to be in the finale, also, as Brennan's dad. I hope they settle on a permanent intern soon. I vote for Mr. Nigel-Murray, he cracks me up. If not him, then Wendell. I don't much care for Clark.
I'd love to see Rose and Bernard back on Lost - I get a little more worried each time an ep goes by without them. WHAT HAPPENED?!
On The Office...Michael Scott about Ryan: "I wouldn't care if he murdered his whole family. He's like a son to me."
I'm excited to see Georgina return to Gossip Girl. I thought Michelle Trachtenberg was kinda campy and over the top, but it was exactly the injection of oomph the show needed. However the writers really let her down at the end; her plot definitely fizzled instead of being a huge blow up. I hope this time is different.
I really like Betty with Matt...Henry was great, but he's gone, so let him be done now....and let her have a relationship!
I agree with Leighannah! BRING BACK DYLAN!!!
Yay! Zack back on Bones! I hope they figure out a way to close out his story line more satisfactorily (sp?)and then settle on one of the NotZacks on a permanent basis... I'd prefer Wendell or Clark but anyone would be ok as long as it's not Daisy.
Ephiny - I know what you mean about Rose and Bernard. They always were my fave couple on LOST.
I forgot to mention the character I'd really like to see make a reappearance - Harry Tang on Chuck!
I don't know, I kind of like the rotating interns on Bones, they all make me laugh. Well, all except for the girl Sweets ended up dating, I'm glad she doesn't rotate in anymore.
Zack's return on Bones is probably the one I'm most excited to see. Of course, I'm also excited about the NCIS ep where they'll introduce the spin-off - I'm ***uming we may see some recurring characters return in that one? Maybe Tobias (FBI guy)? Do you know Amy?
OMG - I forgot all about Harry Tang! Geez, yeah, he needs to come back.
As much as I want the Z-man back on Bones, I actually like all of the Non-Z's, especially since they finally showed the funny side of the blonde guy (don't remember his name). The rotation adds the correct seasoning according to the episode.
