Scottporter2_fridaynightlights_s2_240 If you only watch one episode of Friday Night Lights, tonight's episode (9 p.m. on NBC) is the one to watch.

It's Jason Street's (Scott Porter) final episode and his story arc is so compelling that at the end of the hour I found myself wishing that we could have spin-off that would follow Jason on his new adventure.(It could air right after the series about Smash's life in college). It's a testament to Porter's fantastic range as an actor that he is so utterly believable as a determined man who must navigate a new future for himself. As a viewer, I believed that Jason could make just about anything happen for himself. There's a moment in tonight's episode where a character tells Jason, "there's no one else like you man."

And it's so true. There's really isn't a character on TV like Jason Street and I'm hoping someone snatches Scott Porter right up because I will watch whatever show he's in.

Now let's talk about Tim Riggins. Although the episode is about Street's journey, Taylor Kitsch also shines. The friendship between Riggins and Street is a rarity for TV. It's a male camaraderie that isn't a bromance but rather based on a lifetime of experiences. The hour allows Kitsch to be funny (wait to you hear him talk about the musical Gypsy), loyal and I'm telling you right now you are going to need tissues for the final scene.

It's an episode about the power of believing in yourself, triumphing over adversity and the friends who stay with you no matter what. I think it's one of the best hours of television I've seen and I don't want you to miss it?

I want to pack my bags and go on vacation to Dillon, Texas where I could watch a game, have lunch with Tami, help out Matt, and shake some sense into Tyra. Have you been enjoying this season of Friday Night Lights? Talk about it below.

The United States of Tara

So we haven't talked much about this show since it premiered so I wanted to check in with you guys. Are you still watching? I am and I have to say it is becoming increasingly compelling. I'm so curious about who ruined Tara's mural. Was it the fourth alter who only comes out at night? Was it her sister? Are you as suspect of her sister as I am?

I think once I got past the initial premise -- that Tara would have gone this long without trying to figure out what happened to her -- I was able to just roll with the show and enjoy Toni Collette's nuanced performance. How about you? Are you still watching? Are you excited the show has already been picked up for a second season? Talk about it below.

Quotes of the Week

"Your buddy out there, with the eyeliner, let me talk to him." Sawyer to Horace about Richard on Lost. Thanks to Linda who was the first to submit this week's most popular quote. Although wouldn't Horace wonder how Sawyer could see Richard's "eyeliner" from a distance.

"Well would you look at that? The prodigal son has returned." The Devil to Sam on Reaper.

"I have been after this son of the bitch for years. He's a thug Ethan." Senator Mayer to Ethan about Jack on 24.

"Call me crazy but child actors were way better back in the 80's." Barney on How I Met Your Mother.

"I'm going to be Cupid. And I'm going to shoot my sparrow at unsuspecting victims and they are going to get hit and say, 'I'm in love. I've been hit by Cupid's sparrow.' Funny little bird but he gets the job done." Michael on The Office.

"I just invited Jim to suck it." Michael Scott informing the office about their Valentine's Day party for only singles on The Office. Thanks to James for the quote.

"People in Australia can understand me which is good." Simon to the documentary filmmakers on ER. That was an inside joke, right? By the way, I've seen the synopsis of the series finale of ER and it is looking really good. By that I mean there will be a happy reason for many of our favorite familiar faces to return to County General and a case that will be reminiscent of one of ER's most memorable episodes.

"It struck me in the shower this morning why the Henderson's named their guest 'Harry'...that movie has layers." Jack to Frank on 30 Rock. Thanks to Mark for the quote.

Exchange of the Week

"She's hot." Benji to Sock on Reaper

"Shut up, that's my sister. I got dibbs." Sock's retort. Thanks to Barry and Wendy for the exchange which taken out of context is really disturbing.

That's all for today. I'm back on Monday with a review of the new series Castle (love that Nathan Fillion, his show not so much), thoughts on Lost (I couldn't fall asleep after this week's episode), American Idol (it's time to make my fearless final four predictions) and more. Have a question? Seen a familiar face? Want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at amytvgal@zap2it.com. Have a great weekend. Talk to you on Monday.

I saw this episode of FNL when it aired on DirecTV and it is absolutely amazing. Even if you've never watched FNL, you should tune in for this episode. Be sure to have the kleenex handy! You'll laugh so hard you'll cry and then you'll cry for real. It is a little unrealistic in someways but you sense that whatever happens, Jason Street will make it work out. I'm on that same flight to Dillon as Amy!

Texas Forever! This episode is fantastic as is this season. Here's hoping it returns for a fourth.

I'm looking forward to seeing Alexis Bledel on ER.

Hmm, I'll wager an ER guess. All return for the dedication/opening of the Carter Center.

This episode of FNL was great and illustrates what makes the show so good. These characters are so well developed and well written. Any trip to Dillon should include a barbecue at coach Taylor's too.

United States of Tara is becoming one of my favorite shows. It is incredibly funny and the family is very truthful to each other and seems to genuinely care. I can't wait for the inevitable storyline where the daughter starts showing D.I.D. symptoms. As a psychology major though, I hope the daughter is a less extreme case without fully developed personalities to show all sides of the disorder.

We need to start some sort of campaign to make sure FNL gets another season. It baffles me that this show is having such a hard time with the network and the endless dumb reality shows keep popping up. I get that some of the reality shows are popular...I even watch The Amazing Race...but some of them are so stupid. FNL is smart, has true to life writing and the acting is fantastic.

Oh yeah....and I have watched every season and episode of ER since it piloted. This season has been one of the best in a while. It will be sad to see it go. I am looking forward to seeing Nurse Hathaway and Dr Ross again....

Amy - you really have me looking forward to FNL tonight, I love that show...i truly hope it can hold on....it's such a quality show! And i wouldn't kick Street or Riggins to the curb, ever!

Have a great weekend!

FNL has been rocking my world this season. I can't bear to delete a single episode off of my TiVo! I've been getting increasingly ****ed off about it's lack of major award recognition.
