Um, have we met Ted's wife?

Joshradnor_howimetyourmother_240 So do you think Ted bumped into his future wife in this week's episode of How I Met Your Mother?

We know The Mother was at the bar Barney and Ted went to on St. Patrick's Day. Why would the show pause to show us Ted running into someone unless she was The Mother. Unless, of course, they are just teasing us. The woman (as she's listed in the closing credits) was played by Nicole Muirbrook-Wagner. Nope, she is not someone we've seen before. After all the speculations that the show would cast someone famous as the mother, it would be a clever twist to cast a completely unknown actress. She's unknown to Ted and unknown to us.

So what do you think? Do you think we met The Mother Monday night? Talk about it below.

Ask TV Gal

Have there been any rumors from CBS about Survivor and if Jeff Probst has signed on for the next two installments of the show? Tom

Jeffprobst_survivorallstars_240 CBS has already ordered two more seasons of Survivor (the 17th and 18th season, can you believe it?) and Jeff Probst has signed on to host both seasons. The show usually wins its Thursday night at 8 p.m. timeslot (except when its up against a little show known as American Idol). And the show does very well with DVR viewing, typically increasing its viewership by 10%. So my guess is that Jeff, his khakis, and scheming, bikini clad competitors will be around for quite some time.

As the post-strike episodes start coming, will you have the opportunity to get scoop from shows like Without a Trace? I'm dying to know if Danny and Elena are still a couple. Anna

Well, Anna, I can tell you that Without a Trace returns on April 3 with an episode featuring Henry Thomas and called "Hard Reset." Thomas reprises his completely creepy role as Franklin Romar, the leader of a human trafficking ring Jack, Vivian and the rest of the team have been trying to bring down all season long. There are only six episodes left this season and no news yet on Elena and Danny. But I'll keep you all posted on what we will learn about the couple before the season is over.

Attention Battlestar Galactica Fans

Set your TiVos because tonight (Wednesday) on The Late Show with David Letterman, the Battlestar Galactica cast including Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, Tricia Helfer and Lucy Lawless present the top ten list. Remember the show returns for a fourth season on April 4.

Where Have I Seen Them Before

That was Tom Lenk, Andrew on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as the law firm assistant on Eli Stone. David recognized Kevin Kilner was Dr. Agon on Eli. We just saw Kilner as the dastardly Clayton on Cashmere Mafia and David will always remember him as William Boone in Earth: Final Conflict.

Eve Gordon was the woman who sprayed Charlie with mace on Two and a Half Men. We recently saw Gordon as the friend of the woman losing her ability to speak on Grey's Anatomy and I'll always remember her as Felicity's mom on Felicity.

Melissa recognized Kevin Durand as Keamy or as Melissa aptly put it "one of the boat thugs" on Lost. He was Agent Jay Swopes on Touching Evil, Joshua on Dark Angel and Red in the movie Wild Hogs.

Christinachang_westwing_240 Michelle recognized Christina Chang as Kate's friend Gabby on Unhitched. Chang was State Attorney Rebecca Nevins on CSI: Miami, Becky on Close to Home, and Dr. Sunny Macer on 24.

Kathie caught Grant Shaud as the dentist on Medium. Shaud, who was Miles on Murphy Brown, has been busy this season. We've seen him on Pushing Daisies, Boston Legal and Law & Order.

Bernd wrote me all the way from Germany to let me know that he recognized Gretchen Egolf as the woman who set herself on fire on Medium. Egolf was Katie Vasser on Journeyman. Bernd also caught Mae Whitman as Paul's daughter on In Treatment. Whitman was Tammi on Thief and Emma on State of Grace. And she began her career in movies including When a Man Loves a Woman and Hope Floats. But my favorite role was when Whitman played George Michael's girlfriend, Ann, on Arrested Development.

Saturday Night Live

In case you missed it, I wanted to give you the link to my favorite segment from Saturday Night Live last week.

Thanks all for today. I'm back on Friday with quotes of the week and more. Have a question? A topic you think the group should discuss? Have you seen a familiar face or want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at amytvgal@zap2it.com. Talk to you on Friday.

I totally agree about HIMYM. Why would they point her out if she wasn't important. I even had to rewind and check it out again. And i totally saw the yellow umbrella thing coming. I really hope this show makes it to next season. Next to Scrubs, HIMYM is the show i'm most worried about. They both deserve proper endings.

Mae Whitman is never given credit for her recurring role as Christine Lathi's daughter on Chicago Hope.

What scene was Tom Lenk in on Eli Stone? I saw his name in the credits at the beginning and tried to keep an eye out for him but somehow missed him entirely!

I'm only a casual How I Met Your Mother watcher (it's such a great show), but I always thought his wife was supposed to end up being Robin, so I was really confused. Now I'll have to watch the episode again.

I thought the same exact thing when they kind of froze that moment (or whatever- I don't remember exactly but I remember it being quite obvious that they were pointing something out to us). I really hope the mother is someone not famous.

I really love HIMYM but I was afraid even when it started that we would never actually find out who the mother was because that was the gimmick. The gimmick was telling the story of how Ted met his kid's mother- but if they revealed it too fast then what would be the point of the show? On the other hand- it could easily get cancelled before they get to share that with us.

I personally love the cast and their dynamic with each other and feel that they didn't even need to reveal that gimmick to make the show work but now the creators are stuck with it.

It is my understanding that HIMYM has already begun to film the last episode of the series - whether is will be aired this season or at the end of a season to come is yet to be determined. This is being done so that viewers will not be disappointed. I mean, come on, that is the whole point of the show after all.

I don't think the woman they showed on HIMYM was The Mother...I think she leads us to The Mother but I think it would have been too obvious the way it was.

I also think that he says in the voiceover that he didn't meet The Mother that night. I guess it's debatable whether that bump counts as "meeting". But in my mind, it wasn't her.

I think the mother was the one with the umbrella it seems like they showed the person who had it being in the line to get in. I think somewhere down the line he's going to finally met her and the umbrella will play a part. Like maybe her name is on it somewhere and he trys to return it to it's owner. She's goin say oh there's my umbrella I was wondering what happen to it.

I'm not an regular veiwer of the show but I do like BBT that comes on before it, which I'm glad has return along with T&HM. Not a whole of lot comedy shows I like and watch but those are the one I seems to like for now.

Of course Ted will return the yellow umbrella to her. She has his missing cell phone--or haven't we seen this coming, too??

I don't think they showed us The Mother. The pause when Ted bumped into the mystery woman was too clumsy and obvious to actually be here, plus Ted narrated that they didn't meet that night. I think the pause was just a misdirection for the audience.
