And I would like to thank the Academy Awards because I like them I really really like them

Oscar_240 I was in college when I realized I couldn't attend Oscar parties.

People were actually talking. During the acceptance speeches.

I couldn't believe it. That's when I knew I needed to watch the Academy Awards in a controlled environment. Basically where everyone follows my golden rules -- no one is allowed to talk except for me and there is an abundance of dark chocolate. As you can probably imagine, my Oscar parties are quite small.

I enjoy the Oscars more than any other award show because for me the stakes aren't as high. I like movies but, unlike what happens when watching the Emmys, I'm not as crushed when my favorite movie  doesn't win. And since every year brings new movies there's not the same sting of the same TV show being ignored year after year.

I think my favorite Oscar moment of all time was when Rob Lowe sang with Snow White. Oh sure there were more poignant moments and more hilarious moments. But Rob Lowe dueting with a Disney character was so bad it was good. And the moment involved Soda Pop. What more could you want in an Oscar moment?

What are your favorite Academy Awards moments? Talk about it below and don't forget to watch this Sunday beginning at 8:30 p.m. on ABC.

Rumor of the Week

Jasonbateman_arresteddevelopment_24 The best rumor I've heard recently is that there actually is an Arrested Development movie in the works.

I almost haven't wanted to put this in print for fear I might jinx it.

But it got me thinking. What other TV show would you like to see turned into a movie? Personally I'm still holding out for a Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. How about you?

Quotes of the Week

"Thanks for nothing. You skinny people are confusing." Owen to Physical Phil and Pizza Girl on October Road.

"You must have me confused with your shrink." Janice to Wendy on Lipstick Jungle. Thanks to Jeff and Robert for the quote.

"FYI...Ghosts are real. So are werewolves, vampires, channeling links, evil clowns that eat people. If it makes you feel any better Bigfoot is a hoax." Dean on Supernatural. Thanks to Sandy for the quote.

Quotes of the Week Special Lost Edition

Evangelinelilly_lost_s4_240 "Only eight of us survived the crash, we landed in the water. I was hurt pretty badly in fact if it weren't for her I would never have made it to the shore. She took care of me. She took care of all of us." Jack testifying at Kate's trial on Lost.

"Kate Austin is a world wide hero who saved five other people's lives in a plane crash and nearly starved to death on a deserted island." Kate's lawyer.

"I've heard you say that story so many times I'm starting to think you believe it." Kate to Jack on Lost.

What do you think this all means? Did they decide to make Kate the hero since it would increase her chances of being found not guilty at her trial? Who were the other two people they say survived the crash and later died?  And does this new information change who we think is part of the Oceanic 6. Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid and who else? I'm thinking that Kate claiming to be Aaron's mom rules out Claire. Who else could those four count on to sell that false story?

That's all for today. I'm back next week to talk about the absolutely stellar A Raisin in the Sun, the new NBC series quarterlife and the return of Men in Trees. Have a question? Seen a familiar face? Want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at amytvgal@zap2it.com

OK, I'll go ahead and be the first to say it (and likely annoy many), but I want ANOTHER FIREFLY movie!

Other than that, I have always wanted a Buffy movie, no matter which characters were or were not in it, but, here's the caveat, it has to be the same actors - no new actors in established character roles from the television show.

And finally, so I'll get another out of the way, a Veronica Mars movie!

A Quantum Leap movie would probably be cool - I could see that premise working nicely for a big screen movie.

How about a "Friends" movie? Or even a reunion show or shows!?! NBC could be the hit network they use to be. Just think. If for one hour on Thursdays, all four weeks in November (sweeps) they had Friends reunion episodes...the ratings would be AMAZING! Think about it NBC!

I'll second the call for another Firefly movie, though the way the first one ended didn't leave good options for a second.

Another show that would make good movie material would be Heros since they could probably tighten the storyline in a movie format considerably.

Best Lost Quote from "Mommy" Kate: "Hi Aaron".

Correction to your Supernatural quote - it should be "changelings" not "channeling links."

If you were carefully watching the ABC promos for this week's episode, it said another one of the Oceanic 6 would be revealed...then the only one that we saw that was different was Aaron.

But what I'm logically led to wonder is if it's being implied that Aaron is one of the Oceanic 6.

Would that make Aaron one of the Oceanic 6?

The "Arrested Development" movie pretty much trumps all other TV shows made into movies. Yay for more Bluths!
