Robin and Michelle were the first to recognize (be traumatized by?) David Gallagher, Simon on "7th Heaven," as the ex-con who blackmailed Horatio's son on "CSI: Miami."
We all recognized James Marsters as the new FBI agent on "Without a Trace" (isn't it still so strange to see him sans accent and with brown air?), but there were a slew of other familiar faces in the season premiere. Brian Bloom, who we just saw in "Drive," was the father of the missing boy. Arlen Escarpeta, Sam Walker on "American Dreams," turned in a terrific performance as the Sudan teenager who inadvertently participated in a kidnapping. Nick Wechsler, Kyle on "Roswell," is the man who kidnapped the waitress.
Mark Pellegrino was the father of the boy who wanted Izzie to save the deer on "Grey's Anatomy." You'll see him this weekend in his recurring role of Paul, Rita's ex-husband on "Dexter."
Rishi recognized Matthew Bomer as Bryce on "Chuck." Bomer was Jay Burchell on "Traveler" and Luc on "Tru Calling."
Ryan caught Rebecca Mader, Alden on "Justice," as the woman who wanted her deceased boyfriend's sperm on "Private Practice." Stacy Edwards was the deceased man's wife. Edwards was Dr. Lisa Catera on "Chicago Hope."
Chris and Mallie were the first readers so excited to see Christine Willes, Delores Herbig on "Dead Like Me," as the DMV clerk on "Reaper."
Aaron recognized Geoffrey Owens, Elvin on "The Cosby Show," as the Harvard's professor testifying in Shirley's case on "Boston Legal."
Raphael Sbarge, Ray Wallace last season on "24" and Jake on "The Guardian," had a busy premiere week. He was the lawyer helping Angela track down her ex-husband on "Bones" and the man who killed his own son on "Cold Case."
Bill was excited to see Alona Tal as Rebecca on "Cane." Tal was Jo on "Supernatural" and Meg on "Veronica Mars."

I totally did not recognize James Marsters. I saw his name in the credits, but did not realize what actor he played until I read this post.
Now, I'll have to go back and watch it again.
I recognized Mark Pellegrino on Grey's as well...but it was his character on Burn Notice (the con man who got conned) that I remembered.
Damn! I've been dying for Nick Weschler to have a job again and I missed it!
Is James Marsters joining the cast?? I hope so.
I know it gives away my age, but my reaction every time I see Raphael Sbarge (or Brian McNamara, yet, oddly, not Judd Nelson) is, Billionaire Boys Club! I have watched that miniseries way too many times.
Also David Gallagher played an on-the-run serial killer for his older girlfriend last season on 'Num3ers'. What is it with him and serial killers? Is that all that his agent can find for him? Or is he just hard-core into breaking completely away from his Simon character on '7th Heaven'?
Karen Darling's golfer-fiancee is Daniel Cosgrove. Of course, I'll always know him from Beverly Hills 90210 as Matt, Kelly Taylor's lawyer boyfriend who cheated on her.
Thank you Ritchie for recognizing Karen's fiance (if she goes through with it) I couldn't place him, with his pretty boy looks, he could be a male model.
Wasn't that also Geoffrey Owens, Elvin on "The Cosby Show," as the card marking cardiologist on Las Vegas?
