Dropping in on 'Drop Dead Diva'
Sometimes on TV, promising ideas can turn into lousy shows (I think the time has come for me to officially give up on "The Philanthropist" and sometimes ideas that sound totally kooky can turn into great shows (the best example, in my opinion, being "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

Who do you want to see on TV?
TV Gal reader Chuck was the first to alert me to the fact that Gregory Smith, Ephram on "Everwood," is returning to series television.

The truth about 'Warehouse 13' is out there . . .
Many will compare the central characters in the new series “Warehouse 13," premiering Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Syfy) to Mulder and Scully. (By the way Tuesday is also the day the Sci Fi Channel becomes Syfy. For some reason this change just makes me giggle.)

Good times never felt so good . . . how the Neils saved me from a very bad mood
My technology staged a rebellion while I was away. It was like a really lame version of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."

I'm not hung up on 'Hung'
What’s more depressing than a show about a man who turns to prostitution to make ends meet? A show about an incompetent male prostitute.

TV Gal Character Relocation Program
After watching the season premiere of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager," TV Gal reader Lisa contacted me and declared that she wanted to rescue Amy and transport her over to "Glee." Although I feared Ben would definitely track Amy down (the boy is focused) I thought it is a great idea to take her away from bad writing, terrible storylines and endless conversations about her breasts.

What made you the TV viewer you are today?
What show made you a TV fan?
Clearly most of us take TV a bit more seriously than the average viewer. So what was the show that got you hooked?

When mediocre shows happen to good actors . . . a review of 'HawthoRNe'
“HawthoRNe,” premiering tomorrow night at 9 p.m. on TNT, is a mediocre show full of predictable plots and clichéd story line. Most new TV shows fall somewhere on the bad to slightly above mediocre spectrum (it is the rare show that actually pops), but this one surprised me

Taking a bite out of the second season of 'True Blood'
We’ve definitely had our disagreements.
What would a TV column be if we all agreed on everything? It would be like watching a TV show where everyone got along and things always worked out.

Checking in on 'Royal Pains'
I like Mark Feuerstein.
I liked him when he romanced Karen on "Once & Again." And I liked him when pursued Donna on "The West Wing" (although that didn’t work out so well for her, did it?

Your 2009 Amy Awards Categories
Whoo-hoo!
I can’t thank you enough for participating in the call for categories for the 2009 Amy Awards. I had a blast reading your ideas. You guys are very clever, very funny and a little cranky about certain topics (it appears most of us would like dead characters to, you know, stay dead).

The official season has ended! Before we bring on the summer season, a few final thoughts:
Mourning the loss of canceled shows
Ugh! Upfronts week is emotionally exhausting, isn’t it? We have our highs (yay "Chuck" is coming back! ABC gives "Better Off Ted" a second season!) and our lows (life does not go on for "Life"). Sometimes the highs and lows came at a rapid fire pace (NBC cancels "Medium," but CBS picks it up!)

Do not, I repeat, do not over hype "Glee."
I’m going to try to remain calm while I tell you about "Glee," which gets a sneak preview after "American Idol" tomorrow night at 9 p.m.

What can happen before the season ends? Thoughts on "HIMYM," "Lost" and more
Every TV show has to make decisions. Sometimes they are small (for instance, they know Marcia Cross looks great in green) and sometimes they are big (let's kill off Edie). As we approach the end of the season, here as some of the big questions I'm thinking about.

'Scrubs' as we know it scrubs out . . .
Is it the season finale or the series finale? "Scrubs" ends its eighth season in a one-hour episode tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC amid talks that the show could return in some new form next season. But even if Zach Braff makes a few guest appearances on a revamped version of "Scrubs," it certainly seems like this will be the series finale of the "Scrubs" we have known and loved for eight years.
