Silver from '90210'

Diamonds might be a girl's best friend, but cubic zirconia certainly makes a nice acquaintance upon first impressions. And first impressions stick pretty hard when meeting Silver of 90210, airing Tuesdays on The CW. Quirky and eccentric, Silver has a forward style that lends itself to the out-of-bounds reality of Beverly Hills.
While most teenage girls can't exactly be called jewelry hogs, when it comes to females in that West Coast enclave, they are far advanced from the rest of the country. Silver, played perfectly by the lovely Jessica Stroup, seems to have been born with the accessorizing gene. In fact, her choices in jewelry have inspired us so much that we're focusing purely on the shiny trinkets she regularly sports. Luckily, in the world of television, image is enough to convince us that what looks expensive actually is expensive.
And that means that the beautiful pieces she wears are actually affordable and readily available to all ZIP codes. A quick trip to the style Web site SeenOn, which we love, links users via the "Boutique" header to a number of Silver's statement accessories. In fact, everything mentioned this week comes from the site.
For example, her funky circle outline necklace -- which blurs the line betweenthe love beads of the '60s and the chunky gold of the '80s -- is all about the '70s. Yeah, that was confusing, but when you see it you'll understand. Featuring acrylic rings in avocado, mustard, orange, fuchsia and beige overpowering gold-tone brass-based metal circles and held together by a chunky chain, it looks terrific with everything from turtlenecks to baby dolls and retails for less than $40.
Another one of our favorites is her safari and citrine cocktail ring. Sure to be noticed across a classroom or on YouTube, this over-the-top thick-banded ring is highlighted by an enamel layer in a glam giraffe print draping down from an extravagant CZ in a citrine shade bordered by a ring of faux diamonds. It's available through SeenOn for just $35.
But while much of Silver's jewelry can be had at reasonable sums, we tend to succumb to the "more is more" train of thought in the case of her gold corset bracelet that is a whopping 6 inches long and weighs 102 grams. It is the very definition of excess and shines like Silver on a Friday night. With three thick panels of small paved CZs over gold-plated silver that are fastened using four sections of black leather laces, it makes a statement even on Rodeo Drive. As it should: this bangle retails for close to $1,000.
Another massive accessory is her goldtone flower cuff bracelet. Exactly what you imagine, it is a 3-by-3 four-petal flower in shiny gold over flexible metal branches that wrap gently around your wrist for a custom fit. Best of all, it's just $65. Though it might not be perfect for you, Silver looks good in gold.

I agree that diamonds might be a girl's best friend, and i one of them.
