Whitney Port of 'The Hills'
When you gave thanks Thursday, we certainly hope you remembered how grateful you were that MTV moved away from music videos in order to bring us riveting shows on teenage blondes with small minds and big closets. In fact, you could have been more specific and been thankful for the lovely and stylish Whitney Port, who stars on MTV's hit reality spinoff The Hills on Monday nights. It's not that we don't love Whit; we do, but by now you should all have realized we're shallow and superficial.
Michelle Mason . In gray with navy silk ribbon that can be tied behind the neck or on the side, the flouncy dress can be worn with jeans, leggings or, in a nod to Britney Spears, au naturel. CanvasBoutique.com calls it the "must have dress of the season," and we'd feel the same way if we were trying to sell them. Then again, you don't really need to be young and blond to wear it, so maybe this is a must-have.
Another great choice she made was a leather motorcycle jacket from French design house IRO. Cut very femininely, the black stunner is already out of stock. But you can replace it with an even hipper option from Madison Marcus in supple black leather and featuring a hood.
But our favorites tend to be put on one leg at a time. Whitney's California girl vibe comes out in full swing with full-leg, wide-leg and bellish jeans in all sorts of hues. Tops on the list is a pair of Classics from Dittos . The jeans feature front patch pockets with seam detail in the rear, flared legs and a 9.5-inch rise. Whitney has a pair in red and another in black. The hippie in her comes out with a beautiful pair of J Brand Jeans wide-leg Maliks in a powder wash. Supersoft, the jeans have welt pockets up front and are high-waisted, which adds to the visual length of these trouser-cut beauties.
And since we almost never discuss headwear in this column, now seems like a good time to mention Whitney's recent sporting of a men's fedora from Urban Outfitters. Though the looks feels a little Ashlee Simpson to us, it worked nicely for Whitney.
