Shannen: I've #@*!'n matured, OK?
Shannen Doherty chose this day to unveil a shiny new Shannen to the world -- a peaceful Shannen, a mature Shannen, a Shannen who is ready to gather up all of her wealth, power and fame and lay it down at the feet of one good man.
As we've already learned, Doherty will soon sit in as a guest co-host on the View, but that's not what Doherty wanted to talk about today, and, for fear of a flying beer bottle to the noggin, we won't protest. Her major talking points from tonight's interview with Extra:
1. She is ready for a man. "I feel really well-equipped now, but I think it has more to do with the fact that I’ve been single for so long and not dating and that I’ve learned a lot about myself," she told Extra tonight.
2. She is ready for just about any man. "Here’s the funny part," she said. "I never leave the house. So I don’t know how I’m gonna find him! The guy who delivers the newspaper? Are you cute? I hope so, ‘cause that’s the guy I’m gonna meet. Seriously! I go to work, and I come home. Don’t laugh at me! It’s true!"
3. That beer bottle to the noggin comment we made earlier? That's just low. "It's so ridiculous that stuff I did when I was 19 years old is still being applied to me today," Doherty said. "It hurts, and I would be lying if I said I don’t cry when I read something bad about myself."
4. Just because Tori Spelling publicized all of her family's dirty laundry just days after her Dad died, throwing napalm on an already smoldering family feud and tossing her mom, Candy, into a spiraling hole filled with pitchfork-wielding tabloid writers, everybody should just cut Tori some slack.
"Her father passed away, and all the press can do is write ugly stuff right now," Doherty said, apparently oblivious to the source of all that "ugly stuff."
"[So] give people a break. Her father just passed away."
I agree the press has gone way way to far with this one.I mean that`s just terrible. It would be a lot better for her if they would quit.Hopefully,it will die down and she will be left alone.
