New Line Studio has greenlit "New Year's Eve", a spinoff -- of sorts -- of "Valentine's Day," that will also be directed by Garry Marshall. And The Dish Rag got the inside story from VD screenwriter Katherine Fugat at the film's LA premiere about her upcoming script and the casting.
The VD sequel will be set in New York on New Year's Eve, right in the middle of Times Square and the iconic ball drop will no doubt be the finale. Filming starts in November and Fugat says some of the actors from VD will appear in it, but they will play different characters. As in new characters.

Wear blue - This is Taylor's favorite color, which you can see from his Celebrity Beach Bowl uniform (pictured).
Decorate using a shark, wolf or dog motif - Have you noticed that Taylor has an affinity for animals? Two of his biggest films -- the "Twilight" saga and "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl" -- cast him in a role that's part animal. In interviews, he's called himself a "dog guy." He has a Maltese named Roxy.

He's not quite 18 years old and yet Taylor Lautner just landed his third major film franchise. First there was the "Twilight" saga, then the "Max Steel" movies and now he has been cast as "Stretch Armstrong."What's next? Remaking "Harry Potter" with a be-spectacled Taylor? Maybe a "Star Wars" reboot with Taylor as Luke Skywalker? Wait, we know! Taylor Lautner IS "The Godfather."
According to Deadline, Universal is "giving Stretch superhero powers in the new 3D franchise that is scheduled for release in 2012."
Thank God they're giving him super powers. As we recall, Stretch Armstrong was originally just a weird '70s toy that stretched. Inevitably, we cut the limbs off ours to see what was inside.
What? We gave our Barbies haircuts too.

"Twilight" saga hunk Kellan Lutz strips down for a new Calvin Klein mens' underwear collection called X.The X campaign promises to be Calvin Klein's most digital endeavor.
Launching on March 1, it will feature behind-the-scenes videos (OK, be still our hearts), interviews with the models and 3D-effect versions of the ads.
We're not sure the Dish Rag is ready for 3D crotch shots. Do we have to wear those uncomfortable glasses?
