Twitter'Twilight's' Robert Pattinson may walk with 'Elephants'
Robert Pattinson may soon run away to the circus, which would definitely make it the greatest show on earth.The "Twilight" vamp is in talks to star in the adaptation of the best-selling Sara Gruen novel "Water for Elephants," reports Variety.
Get this though, the main character's name is Jacob. Yes, Jacob like Jacob Black, R-Patz's "Twilight" rival. Of course, names can change.
Anyway, in "Water for Elephants," Jacob is a young man who leaves medical school when his parents die suddenly. Left with no money and an uncertain future, he joins a rundown and dirty circus, full of unhappy people and abused, downtrodden animals, which he tries to help. Also, he falls for the wife of the paranoid schizophrenic animal trainer. Not his wisest move.
Reese Witherspoon has already been confirmed as the married love interest, while Sean Penn is eying the role of her husband.
This might be a good fit for Rob, since he does the brooding, quiet strenth thing so well. He seems drawn to movies about emotional pain: "Twilight," "Remember Me" and ... this one? We'd love to see him in a circus environment.

The script is wonderful. Great moments for Pattinson t act ut with Penn. The film will be awesome.
Pattinson doesn´t need to work with Penn - he needs acting lessons. I saw Litle Ashes some time *before* Twilight and he was pretty bad. I can´t change my opinion about this guy until he proves he really can act and by choosing still the same characters won´t help.
This is bull****! Seriously?? Do you guys happen to forget hows much work does Rob have already. I'll remind you... Promotioning Remember me, promotioning Eclipse, shooting Unbound Capties, shooting that French movie, promoting both those movies, shooting and promoting "Breaking Dawn", and if it is turned into two movies, he will hae to do two promotions.
Also, can't you guys see the flaw in this rumour: Pattinson will play the lover - named Jacob LOL - of Reese Witherspoon. WTF?! Pattinson and Witherspoon in the same movie, where have I heard that before. OH, right, they played MOTHER AND SON 6 years ago in Vanity Fair. What??
Please say this is just a nasty rumor. The book was wonderful and deserves an actor who can act in the lead role!
Remember Sean Penn as Spicoli?He's come a long way since then. Rob will too. I've read the book and loved it. I think that Rob is perfect for the role of Jacob. I personally look forward to seeing Rob's career unfold, and think he has a great future ahead of him. Give him a chance.
