Taylor Lautner's Rolling Stone cover: The 5 minute or less Cliffs Notes

Taylor Lautner who is starring as werewolf Jacob Black in Summit Entertainment's "little movie" called "Twilight: New Moon" steams up the Dec. 10 cover of Rolling Stone.

For those of you who've been living under a rock or on another planet, Taylor and his "Twilight" castmates' popularity has reached epic proportions which almost rivals The Beatles. Despite what haters Miley "Twilight is a cult" Cyrus and Selena Gomez may say or think.

Sorry Disney divas, the Twihards and closet "Twilight" fans are multiplying by the minute. So don't be green.
 

Anyway, if you're anything like us at The Dish Rag then odds are that your interest in the Rolling Stone cover story is probably limited to either A) Your desire to see the 1,253,645th shirtless picture of Taylor Lautner. B) Getting some behind-the-scenes intel about "Twilight" castmates Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson or C) The deets of his relationship with Taylor Swift.

Not to digress from the Taylor (and Taylor) topics at hand but we should probably quickly note that we thorougly enjoyed Neil Strauss' entire "Taylor Lautner's Wild Ride" article while sipping our morning latte. We wouldn't want to insult our fellow journalists, bloggers and mag writers when we're merely doing a prop by picking out the kind of deep, insightful, thought-provoking bits which Dish Rag readers are accustomed.

that you may or may not know:

On young Hollywood's fast lane
The 17-year-old Lautner is described by reporter Strauss as more of a quiet and guarded Zac Efron than Lindsay Lohan in terms of young star types. Taylor told RS that he's never smoked cigarettes and pot or tried a line of cocaine.

On his newfound superstardom:
Lautner is extremely humble telling RS, "This could have happened to anyone who played Jacob... It's 'Twilight.' It's not me personally." (We object Taylor! Of course it's not only those Stephenie Meyer books but its the abs too. Lets be honest.)

On "Twilight" saga's Edward, Bella, Jacob triangle
Lautner's favorite in the "Twilight" series is next installment "Eclipse" because he says "It's the height of the love triangle. I think it's going to be good. That tent scene is the biggest thing possible." When asked about Bella's dishonesty with Edward, Taylor explained: "You know, she's serious with Edward and then she meets best friend Jacob. She gets confused." 

On Jacob's "brother's" creepy crush on the two-year-old
Lautner answers, "Yeah, yeah. Let's not go there." (Phew. Good answer Taylor. The Dish Rag doesn't want to go there either. So. Many. Shades. Of. Wrong.)

On Taylor Swift
Lautner met the singer while they were shooting upcoming film "Valentine's Day." He told RS: "We instantly clicked. And she's -- she's an amazing girl. Aside from being beautiful, she's extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around, so we definitely got along. We're close." But is TSquared officially dating? Well he was cryptic when asked, teasing, "Possibly."

On gay rumors (Which ones exactly? Did we miss those?)

A surprising part of the interview was when Rolling Stone raised the question of Taylor's sexuality. "Maybe you're just sort of discovering yourself...As a young person trying to figure out his sexual identity in the world," the magazine inquired. A graceful Lautner responded: "OK. I see where you're going. Interesting choice. There's a lot of rumors out there." (The Dish Rag would just like to say to Taylor that you know you're uber-famous when the gay rumors start percolating. You're a smart guy and handled this question like a pro Taylor).

Bonus Lautner bits
"Twilight" co-star Kristin Stewart convinced him to try sushi for the first time and believe it or not the buff teenager was bullied back in the days way before he gained almost 30 pounds of muscle for "New Moon."
