'Twilight's' Taylor Lautner WILL take his shirt off again, so everyone can relax

Taylor Lautner says he was completely misquoted. 

And he will take his shirt off again for a film role. Thank GAWD!

"I love this character and I loved putting on the weight, and not wearing much clothing was required by the role. If a year from now, I love a character and a role, I will do it again."

He says he would also lose 30 pounds for a role.

But Taylor admits he laughs every time he sees that "New Moon" scene where he rips off his shirt to daub Bella's (Kristen Stewart) bleeding head.

"I start laughing so hard every time I see that scene," he said at the "New Moon" junket in Los Angeles. "'Oh, you're bleeding. OK, Let me fix that.' So embarrassing."

And for those who think it might be fun to have to put on weight, it wasn't.

"I was in the gym five days a week, not overworking. I was trying to put on weight. The most important thing was eating something. 

"Getting in the gym was easy for me. ... But the eating was pretty hard. It was just eating a lot. I had to consume 3,200 calories a day just to maintain, so I had to eat more than that.

"And that means putting something in your mouth every two hours. I had to carry a baggie of beef patties, raw almonds, sweet potatoes. So it wasn't like every two hours I'm eating ice cream."

Well, that takes all the fun out of it.
