We at Zap2it love Anika Noni Rose, and so we're so psyched that she's the voice of Disney's newest princess in "The Princess and the Frog."

Not only did Rose show off her singing chops in "Dreamgirls," but she was hilarious as Grace in HBO's underrated "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency." She sings and has great comedic timing? Perfect Disney princess material.

But you know, being a princess isn't all tiaras and ballgowns. Sometimes it's about embracing (or in this case, smooching) the amphibian kind.

Rose was kind enough to sit down with Zap2it and discuss her role as Disney's first African-American princess (about freakin' time!) Tiana, a New Orleans girl who has big dreams of opening her very own Cajun restaurant but who gets a little sidetracked when Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos) in frog form makes an appearance.

"The Princess and the Frog" (two webbed thumbs up from Hanh) opens on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
