"Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively talks about auditioning for her role as a teenage Pippa in Rebecca Miller's "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee" and working with Maria Bello, Robin Wright Penn and Alan Arkin.

How did this incredible role come to her?

"I came to Rebecca, begging, pleading and fighting for it," says Blake. "She's so smart and she's got such depth and layers. And so often in film you see young girls be very materialistic and their problems are very trivial, but with Pippa, that wasn't the case at all."

And her winning scene? Just the toughest scene in the whole film. A wacked out overdose!

"I auditioned for her and I had to do this scene where I take my mother's entire bottle of Dexadrine and we're fighting and I'm cracked out of my mind on speed. And we come into a physical fight, as well as a verbal one and it's just like this crazy scene I had to do it in a 4 by 4 audition room with Rebecca Miller sitting in front of me. And I was so terrified but I gave it my all. At the end of it, she said, 'Oh my goodness,' and walks out of the room and then came back in and said, 'You're my Pippa.'"

OK, but she'll always be our Serena van der Woodsen a.k.a. Queen S.

For the record, we were told NOT to ask ANY questions about "Gossip Girl." But you know you still love us. xoxo
