Heath Ledger had so much more left to contribute than just making marvelous movies and portraying fascinating characters.

The actor, who won a posthumous supporting-actor Oscar for his Joker in "The Dark Knight," directed a video for the rap song "Cause an Effect," recorded by his pal No Fixed Abode

The Australian rapper, also known as No Permanent Dwelling (just kidding; he's also known as N'fa), says Ledger worked on the video in his garage in Sydney just months before his January 2008 death.

It's been only two months since his directorial debut, a music video for the group Modest Mouse, premiered online.

"Everyday I count my blessings that I got to have him direct this piece of art," N'fa says. "It was a song I was proud to have written, but I never expected to have such an immense video made for it. I'd known Heath since we were very young, and he was always a creative kind of guy and, in many ways, ahead of the curve. When he had the idea about doing this video, I had no question about it."

Fans also can see Ledger's last film work, "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus," on Dec. 25.

The Dish Rag will be doing video interviews with "Parnassus" director Terry Gilliam and Heath's co-star Verne Troyer next week.
