TwitterKanye West, Lady Gaga tour canceled! Was it Kanyte's time off or lousy ticket sales?
Kanye West and Lady Gaga's joint tour -- "Fame Kills" -- has been canceled.
No explanation was given, according to the Pop & Hiss blog.
The tour has been planned for months and was starting on Nov. 10 in Phoenix and was set to run through January or longer.
But the cancellation may not be due to West's announcement about taking time off to grieve for his mother.
West made headlines -- and became the butt of online jokes -- for interrupting Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 13
After multiple mea culpas, he blamed his buried grief over his mother's 2007 death as the reason for his outburst on Jay Leno's show.
However, TMZ reports that the real reason Live Nation canceled the tour was that the ticket sales were -- what's the polite word -- oh yeah, they were below lousy.
TMZ also reports that Gaga's camp decided she'd be better off playing in smaller venues, specifically ones without West in them.

omg nooo i had a half day in school and was waiting for the tickets to go onsale today at 12 for the verizon centerr and find out its canceleedddd and frankly i was just going to see lady gaga , again. but dang if this is about kanye well idc cus its about his songs not what he does when hes not performing. and idc what he did to tay it was grimey but oh well get over it.

Oh, jeez. I've been waiting a good year for Lady Gaga to come to Vancouver. I even bought pre-sale tickets and was planning to take the day off school with my friends to go down to GM place. I have a sneaking suspicion that Kanye was behind the entire cancellation and, man, am I pissed.
