I love the album, I play it a lot and didn't think I would like the M&M "Obsessed" but it is very catchy.
As for her wanting to be Britney, for a 40ish woman female entertainer I don't understand why she's still using male backup dancers like the younger girls (Beyonce, Britney) do. They shouldn't be on the stage with her, it's distracting. If they want to be in the background or on some mantles, out of the way, that's different. But she's the star. She should be center stage by herself.
I sometimes think she's insecure as a performer; that's why she has dancers and choirs all around her.
Granted the rhythm track is very Britney-era Max Martin (and if you don't know who he is, you shouldn't be writing about pop music), but no, Carey doesn't sound even remotely like Britney Spears.
Re: "It's catchy." Um... have you really just now discovered this 3-month-old radio hit?
no
Sounds like mariah to me.
Britney sounds more like the smurf-girl.

She doesn't need it.
