DJAMarri_Jorda_57583165_600 A private memorial for Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, 36, will be held Thursday evening at the Hollywood Palladium, a venue where he used to DJ.

According to People, an invitation says the memorial will be "a gathering to celebrate the life of our friend Adam Goldstein."

"The format of the evening will be in the style of an open 12-step meeting," the invite reads. "Adam's friends both from his life in recovery, as well as those from other areas of his life are welcome.

We ask only that everyone adhere to the tradition of anonymity and let what they hear there, and who they see there, stay there."

Hear, hear.

DJ AM, a recovering addict, allegedly died of a drug overdose. His body was found last week in his New York apartment amid prescription drugs,  crack and a crack pipe.

He was said to have agreed to go back to rehab just hours before he died.

Good idea, obviously 12 step meetings worked so well for him in life!

This does not sound like suicide! Sounds like he was too high on crack and was trying to get to sleep fast! Anyone who has done crack will tell you it is hard to come down fast and get some sleep even if you were up 24hrs doing crack! This sounds more like an accident!
