Why we can't take fashion designers seriously anymore ...
C'mon, all you guys in the couture department at Maison Martin Margiela.
The world is going through the worst financial crisis of our lifetime, the oceans are dying, children are suffering around the globe, the polar ice caps are meling.
And to make matters worse, 90,000 seals are going to be clubbed to death in Namibia.
Meanwhile, this is the best outfit you can come with up for us to wear this fall?
Is it any wonder no one takes silly high fashion designers' suggestions to heart anymore.

"this is the best idea you can come with up for us to wear in a few months?" LMAO! Who were they hoping would permit themselves to caught dead in that!
haute couture isn't meant to be worn in public. it's artistic expression, using the adornment of the human body as a medium
... the energy it took for you to research and write this article might've been better spent commenting about any one of the World Crisis you voiced.
There was thankfully someone gracious enough to explain what the meaning of Haute Couture is.
