TwitterStill bummed about Susan Boyle? Cheer up with Stavros Flatley!
How on earth did we miss this "Britain's Got Talent" act?
I guess we were all too knackered with disappointment over the whole sad Susan Boyle breakdown.
But Stavros Flatley was in the running with her and, frankly, watching this father-son act makes us feel just as good as Susan did.
The comedy dance team consists of Demetrios and Michalakis Andreas (aka Lagi) Demetriou, ages 41 and 13, an electrical company director and a student.
Even if you haven't ever seen Michael Flatley dance the original, you will laugh your socks off.
This act started when Demetrios was running a Greek restaurant seven years ago. He would entertain his customers after their meal.
The father and son live in Enfield, England, with Demetrios' wife, Karen, 39, and daughter, Elle, 11.

And we agree with Demetrios: Simon Cowell does seem have a little Greek in him.
BTW, Michael Flatley sent best of luck to them before their final performance.

The Dishrag, appropriately named. While Stavros Flatley was a cute novelty act, there was never any serious threat of being competition with Susan Boyle's beautiful voice. You failed to mention that she was only hospitalized 4 days AND after that completed 20 days of 24 days of BGT performances, ending July 5th. She has been interviewed by NBC, to air July 22, has a spread in Harpers Bizzare, and will eventually come to America where she is loved and wanted and celebrated. Too bad the U.K. tabloids don't recognize a national treasure when they see one!

Elizabeth Snead, One day when you grow old, you'll realize what a silly article you've just posted. Maybe.. Nobody is laughing their "socks off". Who wears socks? Susan has risen so far above all this buzzard muck-racking psuedo-hilarioius tripe that this type of artical misses the mark by a mile. Grow up; get wise; be kind; silly girl.

Even the poor, ignorant villagers who once stoned Ms. Boyle's front door now realize she's about to enjoy the singing career she's always longed for. They have moved on, hopefully to more productive pastimes. Hopefully you can too.
I'm not bummed in the least about Susan Boyle, I think she's got a ton of talent and even more character. And yes, I agree, Stavros Flatley were hilarious, and I wish them both the best. BUT - a year from now, I think we will see that Susan Boyle, not Stavros Flatley, will be having the last laugh.
Best wishes to Stavros and son. But this page seems more about Susan Boyle, unless you're using her name to draw attention. No one is bummed--she is fabulous, adored, and already engaged in a career that will soar.

You Have Got To Be Kidding! I can't believe the Times published this story. These guys are NO COMPARISON to Susan Boyle. By the way who has a multi-million dollar contract and is getting ready to take the U.S. by storm. Why don't you write about that?
Here in the UK we loved these two and despite everyone knocking this article I have to say I agree that Stavros Flatley should have beaten Suzan Boyle. There are so many talented singers, but there are few people who can really make you laugh. My husband and I even did a mock version for our wedding first dance.
