The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has asked Perez Hilton to apologize for slurs he hurled at Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.
GLAAD was responding to a video posted by the celebrity blogger, whose legal name is Mario Lavandeira, in which Hilton gave his version of events after Will.i.am posted a video describing their recent confrontations at and after the MuchMusic Video Awards. Said Hilton in his video: "I made the split-second decision -- that I was gonna say what I thought was the worst possible thing that thug [Will.i.am] would ever want to hear" -- which was a handful of assorted F-bombs.
Rashad Robinson, GLAAD's senior director of media programs, said: "These are vulgar anti-gay slurs that feed a climate of hatred and intolerance toward our community. For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is, quote, 'The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,' is incredibly dangerous. It legitimizes use of a slur that is often linked to violence against our community. And it sends a message that it is OK to attempt to dehumanize people by exploiting anti-gay attitudes."
"We have reached out to Hilton and asked him to apologize for promoting this anti-gay slur, and we would ask media outlets to avoid repetition of the slur in their coverage of this story."

Yes he should apologize, His behavior is that of a two year old. I can't believe anyone would even read his blogs, he's nothing but a spoiled brat, throwing temper tantrums.
Funny how a guy like...well a person like...well a thing like...well, really a nothing like Perez Hilton, who is ashamed of his own name, and is obviously scarred by something deep inside...funny how a nothing like it could even be in that circle of people, and have the, um, gumption enough to hurl an insult like that at someone like Wil. So let me get this straight, GLAAD, the terrorist, intolerant, bigoted, hate mongering homosexist heterophobic Christian bashing, parental rights denying child recruiters, want the words of Christian bashing Mario Lavaderia censored, the same hate mongering homosexual fascist who threatened Carie Prejean with physical violence is she won the Miss Universe pageant, and they claim Lavenderia perpetuates victimizing homosexuals?!
I see GLAAD is following the scripted psy-ops Homosexual Agenda manifesto schemed by Hunter Madsen and Marshall Kirk in "overhauling Straight America".
Lavenderia needs to be prosecuted for anti-Christian hate crimes, and GLAAD needs to be prosecuted for trying to recruit underage children with their forced homosexual glorification and recruitment curriculum disguised as "anti-bullying" and "safe schools".
Perez Hilton is nothing more then attention starved and will do ANYTHING to gain notoriety. He is CLEARLY an embarrassment to the gay community let alone to the human race. What a waste!

Thank God someone is finally standing up to this cretin. His blog is disgusting. The immature pictures he dribbles on people's images, the unfounded rumors he propagates - and now finally, this famewhorish behavior. I'm surprised someone hasn't put his lights out before. Kudos to GLAAD for calling it like it is.
Time to do a media blackout on Perez. He is not only completely self-serving and petty, but a detriment and a throwback, too. Could we please just forget him? That would be the worst thing that 'thug' would ever hear. The sound of SILENCE.
I think it's funny Perez used f.gg.t against will.i.am, but GLAAD is a bunch of clowns. GLAAD should apologize to the gay community for being such patsies and public relations wh.res. Their only political principle is what looks good. I, for one, am GLAAD they're unhappy.
Do I agree with GLAAD? No, not really.
All cuss-words & slurs can be used with different feelings or attitudes. Neither GLAAD nor anyone else can 'own' any particular f-word and say it has some specific, restricted meaning. Real people use words like this in a wide range of ways.
This celeb-squabble was also not a favorable context to clamp down on the word GLAAD wants to erase. Get real: this was a cat-fight; Hilton is an over-the-top provocateur.
This is not where the hurtful use of this slur really lives, and GLAAD's posturing will have no affect on the word or society.
GLAAD is grandstanding.
