Farrah Fawcett's friends Ryan O'Neal, Melanie Griffith, Jacqueline Bissett, Alana Stewart, Barbara Davis, hairdresser Jose Eber, Dick Van Patten and jewelry designer Loree Rodkin gathered Wednesday night at the Beverly Hills Paley Center for a screening of her documentary "Farrah's Story."
And to pray for a miracle.
The two-hour special airs Friday night on NBC.
"I don't know if it's a celebration per se, it's a gruesome story, it's a terrible story," O'Neal told Fox News at the premiere. "But sometimes out of terrible stories come a light ... and a hope."
Fawcett could not be at the event and is resting at home.
The film poignantly chronicles the trials and tribulations of her 2 1/2-year battle with cancer, getting treatments in the U.S. and Germany.
In the first treatments, the doctors tried to preserve her hair, but after she began chemo, the 62-year-old shaved her head. In one scene, she pulls off her beanie to reveal a shockingly bald head, and kids the doctor, "You wouldn't stop until you got my hair."
We are all praying for a miracle and sending our love and prayers to this brave, inspiring, talented and lovely woman.
