OMG, not another Duggar baby!
But it's not what you think. Yes, Michelle Duggar just popped out her 18th child in December 2008 (necessitating a title change on their TLC reality show to "18 Kids & Counting").
But the newest spawn is coming from oldest son Josh Duggar's wife, Anna Keller Duggar. According to MSNBC, she's three months pregnant and is due Oct. 12.
The couple talked to Meredith Vieira on the "Today" show about their happy news. And they're pretty sure they're not gonna keep the whole "J" name thing going.
Asked if they planned to have a large family, Josh said, "We're leaving that up to God."
Their Baptist faith was important to the couple from the get-go. The couple was supervised during their courtship and only allowed to hold hands. At their wedding, covered by TLC as part of the Duggars' reality show when it was "17 Kids & Counting," the couple were allowed to kiss for the first time.
We're really happy for Josh and his wife, starting a new Duggar offshoot. But we're a little concerned about what might happen when Nadya Suleman's brood starts breeding.
The impact on the economy could be felt internationally.
Even if Obama can get us out of this recession, the Suleman brood -- now being raised with state assistance and who may follow in Mommy's financial footsteps -- could break the California state and possibly the federal budgets.

Oh how I used to admire and practically worship Michelle Duggar ~ she was my role model ~ my inspiration.
Our family shared a lot of the same beliefs ~ we were committed to letting the Lord "plan our family" ~ and even though I had c-section deliveries and complications which nearly killed me ~ I would have continued to live and espouse the lifestyle ~ that is, until the pressure of being perfect drove my oldest daughter to despair. When she ended up in the psych ward after attempting to kill herself ~ I finally woke up to what a warped and twisted belief system and lifestyle we were following.
I am no longer having all the babies which "the Lord chooses to bless me with" ~ I am no longer striving to be the perfect godly wife and mother ~ I am no longer homeschooling (brainwashing) my kids ~ and I am No Longer Quivering
To each its own. I feel for No Longer Quivering. It's obvious she suffered but she herself is responsible for her actions. Even if perfection was part of their belief system, it's up to the individual to mimick someone's behavior. They are certainly free to pursue their version of happiness, as we all are.
I don't think the Dugger's are going for perfection really. They'll be the first to tell you that they aren't perfect and that they are sinners too. Yes, the hold high standards for their children morally, but i think we should all be doing that. They are a happy family and enjoy their life as it is. and I'm happy for Anna and Josh. i can't wait to see their new baby!
I am a great fan of the Dugger family and enjoy watching their show on television. I feel that they are a great example of a family that serves God and each other. However, I think it is important that people understand that thier commendable choice to limit their physical relationship to holding hands is a choice and not a biblical commandment that must be obeyed. We are told to not have premarital sex in the Bible but we are not told to not kiss. I agree that you have to be careful but it must be distinguished what is a commandment and what is a personal choice.
To each their own, yes. So excuse me while I seem to contradict that. Some of the things they teach their children go far beyond religion or morality and straight into closed mindedness and ignorance. For example, the episode when they teach their children that the world is less than 5,000 years old. I feel bad for those kids. They are so sheltered that they aren't even given the choice to make an informed decision about what they want to believe.
In any case, congrats to Josh and Anna
The Duggers impress me as one really happy family who love God and each other. Nice to see the next generation starting...
I admire the Dugger's dedication and devotion to each other and their family.
Although no person and/or family is perfect, they do an amazing job raising their children.
They are also self sufficient with 18 children and don't require any governmental assistance.
To Lauren,
Just because you believe differently doesn't mean that they are close minded.
I am sure that if you have children you would teach them what you believe.
What you teach your children when they are young is very important to their future.
In any event, they will ultimately be exposed to any number of theories and philosophies during their life.
So it is important to keep things in perspective.
I think that the Duggars are a CULT. They isolate their family from the rest of the world. Dress alike. That long, long, long hair. Those kids look like "Children of the Dammed". They are sheltered to the 100th power and they are in for a rude awakening when they get out from under their parents.
Cult: Really, what is a cult? People who have the same beliefs such as political, cultural and religious?
They dress alike: How many high schoolers dress alike? Low rise jeans, bare midriffs...
Long hair: What about the gobs of girls with big bangs in the 80's? Guys with mulletts?
Sheltered: They volunteer locally and abroad helping people less fortunate.
