Will Paul Weitz direct 'Eclipse,' the third 'Twilight' film?
Praise the heavens and thank the "Twilight" gods!
Drew Barrymore may NOT direct "Eclipse" after all.
Robert Pattinson could be safe! For now ...
According to the Twilighters website, "New Moon" director Chris Weitz's brother, Paul Weitz, will direct the third "Twilight" installment.
It reports: There have been rumors circulating that Drew Barrymore will be directing the third installment of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Series. These rumors are false. Due to the New Moon post-production schedule for director Chris Weitz, his brother and co-owner of "Depth of Field Productions" -- Paul Weitz -- will be directing Eclipse.
It is not the only "Twilight"-obsessed site reporting this. But so far, there's no official confirmation -- or official denial -- of who will, or won't, direct "Eclipse" for Summit Entertainment.
We've reached out for comment, but still no word back.
What do you think? Did Summit get a director-team recession two-fer?
After all, Paul and Chris co-directed "About a Boy," "Down to Earth" and "American Pie."

The only thing to really thank the Twilight gods for is the casting of Robert Pattinson.. everything else..? well, it doesn't much matter :)

I wouldnt mind if he did. I don't want Drew to though.
I hope this is true about Drew Barrymore. I don't think shes a good fit at all to direct eclipse. I was hoping for Joss Whedon though!
just hope the weitz bros. can handle it for we twifans. agree w/ unitended choice, as long as rob is in them, the rest we can deal with! defintely no drew please!
I really liked what Chris did with New Moon; I was scared that it would be bad. I just hope his brother can do as well.
