Katieholmesglamourmagazineapril2009So you are probably wondering -- or maybe you're not -- what a day in the life of Katie, Suri, and Tom Cruise  is like. Well, imagine this...

Katie Holmes tells Glamour magazine in the April issue:

"We like to be together, so we use the house for our [business] meetings. [We] play Yahtzee, board games, Scrabble. We grill; have pool parties. We play 'The Three Little Pigs' and Suri is the Big Bad Wolf. [Tom] reads storybooks to Suri, and we all laugh. When a good song comes on, he'll break out in a dance. We'll watch movies in bed -- recently 'Madagascar' and 'Cinderella', for Suri. We really have a good time."

Asked who cooks, she reveals: "I don't really cook that much -- eventually I will. I do make cupcakes. And [Tom] makes his pasta carbonara for me."

Um, people. Let's get real, OK? Stop thinking these people are just like you and me.

They've been married for almost three years and Katie doesn't cook except for cupcakes and Tom only makes pasta carbonara because the are very, very rich and can afford to employ full-time cooks. Probably at all their houses.

And she doesn't clean either.  They have housekeepers. And no doubt they have full-time nannies. And drivers.

No wonder Katie and Tom have time to play Yahtzee, Scrabble, do some grilling, have pool parties, etc.

Life is much easier when you have a lot of money and a lot of help. Just saying.

yup, they are very rich and can afford "not cooking" wouldn't you? i would do anything to Mrs. Katie Holmes Cruise for one day! they seem like a loving, caring, honest, fun family

Always sort of especially annoying to me when they bring up how *fabulous* these women look *just weeks* after having had babies....and I think OF COURSE they look fabulous! They wake up and someone is there to watch their child (if not get them up and ready for the day) while their personal trainer meets them for a workout and yoga, off to the kitchen where there is a healthy, organic meal waiting for them that is already prepared, and then someone to clean up when she's finished...While in that same time period the average Mom is up bathing, changing and dressing the kids, then making beds, picking up clothes, throw a load in the washer, run downstairs to make breakfast for everyone - CLEAN the dishes and the table...and the floor....afterwards....vacuum, off to school and grocery shop....I'd look fabulous too if instead of doing all of this a personal trainer met me every morning while someone else took care of my kids and yet someone else made my meals and cleaned up....and I might even be able to squeeze in a rehersal for a Broadway play too!

Glad to see some folks are getting by during these incredibly difficult times. And promoting their good fortune.

Tom must make the pasta carbonara so she can smell it. She obviously hasn't had a bite of pasta since the day Tom hooked her up with her BFF Posh Spice.
