What? T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl are NOT leaving "Grey's Anatomy"?
Darn. And we were excited to start watching the show again.
"Grey's" creator Shonda Rhimes told People at the NAACP Image Awards Thursday night, "That's an interesting rumor. And it's not true."
"Grey's cast member James Pickens Jr., who recently congratulated his castmates on their upcoming departures, sounded like he's backtracking last night.
"When the question was posed to me, I was more trying to congratulate Katie and T.R. on whatever they were going to do," Pickens said at the NAACP awards. "But yeah, I don't have any special info about it either way."
OK, except here's exactly what he said:
"Yes, she is," Pickens told US Weekly when asked about Heigl's departure . "Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best."
About T.R. Knight, Pickens said, "He's going too. He just wanted to pursue other career paths."
What do you think? Sure sounds like he had some special information, doesn't it?

While T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl seem like perfectly nice people, their characters are boring and stale. Too bad they're not pursuing something else as possibly their career and the show itself (definitely) would be improved by allowing more interesting characters to get air time. I have to say the final episode with Eric Stoltz was AMAZING!
Its a great show! All the characters do an amazing job of keeping each episode fresh and thoughtful. So glad to hear T.R and Heigli are staying on. Now perhaps the writers will give them a bit better dialogue.
i would really hate to see either of them go in a way that made it impossible for them to ever come back. i hope that if they are planning to leave they reconsider. both of their characters are very caring and compassionate and if they are gone the show will be lacking that and none of the newbies can pull that off.
