Twitter'Idol' Kara DioGuardia to Paula Abdul: Bring it on!
Forget Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul's ratings-boosting bickering.
Get ready for a media catfight between "American Idol" judges Kara DioGuardi and Paula Abdul.
After Paula said she didn't think four judges was such a good idea, the new fourth judge -- and her former roommate -- DioGuardi, fired back.
"Paula has a right to her opinions, but I was disappointed by her comments,and hurt that she did not address them to me in person," Kara tells "Access Hollywood."
In an interview with OK!, Paula said while she "gets along great" with Kara, she doesn't think adding a new judge helped the show.
"We tried four judges before, and it doesn't work. It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show," Paula said.
Nevertheless, Kara is standing strong: "I am proud of my contributions to the show and remain excited about the rest of the season," Kara told "Access."
"Paula's quote was taken out of context," Paula's rep now says. "She was referring to previous 'guest judges' from past seasons. Not Kara."
Right. Of course she was.
Oh, we can only hope this sniping carries on to the actual show.
We need a little hissy fit to spice things up. And it's so good for the ratings. Pfft-pfft!

And couldn't they have picked a blond to make her less threatening to poor Paula?

You know what, I just find that Kara is often too quick being close-minded & negative. She also cannot make a vote on her own, apart from anyone else's opinion; she follows the others' thoughts. Does anyone else here notice her trend toward negativity? She also gives the same reasons over & over again, and isn't naturally kindhearted toward the contestants, something Paula brings to the panel. But we needed her -- for us to realize how great the panel was at three. I do think Paula is right: 3 is the max because the momentum is now changed. It's not worth it at all. Get rid of Kara.. she's not that likeable, & has very little 'likeability factor". Go on back to what ain't broken (don't fix it).
Paula doesn't have anything to worry about from Kara. Poor Kara not only has face that makes her look like she sneering at everyone, she's petty (pathetic sing off with bikini girl) and boring. I would be so happy if Kara was booted along with the next group of contestants.

Paula needs to lay off the sauce. Kara is not only far prettier....but...she has more validity to her opinions. Paula, get over yourself, you're a has-been who had a stroke of luck landing this show. Ask your former beaus how "sane" they thought you are!! You better grow up quick, you may have just pushed your 15 minute clock ahead a few minutes!!
I've watched every season of American Idol and the show had a perfect balance in the three judges. Kara does not add anything. Her remarks are often snyd and arrogant. Her comments are unimportant. I would like to see the show go back to the original 3 judges. Simon's opinions are usually on the money and it is not necessary to have a second judge dishing out harsh comments. Kara is just a waste of time. I'd rather hear more singing.
Guys... Paula and Kara are best friends. This is a publicity stunt to get ratings up. The whole "cat fight" thing is arranged between the two.
They are friends and the show is great now that Kara is here. There's much more interaction and Simon's in the backdrop. Kara's a very beautiful woman who really charms the screen.

Paula Abdul's contract is up at the end of this year and they need to send her on her way. I cringe when it is her time to talk. She is an idiot that cannot put a complete sentence together.
