Rihannachrisbrown Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together?

What?

Yes, you read that right. People.com is reporting that just three short weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered his "Umbrella" girlfriend on Feb. 8, they are working things out.

Awwww. Should we cue Tina Turner's "What's Love Gotta To do With It?"

Maybe they're just working out their respective stories, getting things straight so that both of them can come out of this mess looking OK and with salvaged careers.

"They're together again. They care for each other," insists People's source, adding that the back-on lovers are together at one of Sean "Diddy" Combs' luxurious homes on Star Island, in Miami.

Why is Combs involved and giving safe haven to this relationship? What happened to Rihanna's mentor, Jay-Z? Wasn't he gonna lay some whupyouknowwhat on that boy?

Brown reportedly called Rihanna on her 21st birthday last week.  "He called to wish her happy birthday," a source told the magazine. "They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual."

According to the New  York Daily News,
Brown has been re-wooing Rihanna with jewels, designer shoes, a handbag and the video game "Guitar Hero."

"It doesn't matter what he buys her, though," said the NYDN source. "She loves him. For his part, he knows he screwed up and he is going to try like hell to make sure it doesn't happen again."

Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, has told Us Weekly that said he's OK with the couple getting back together. "I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I'm behind her win or lose. I will be supportive."

Are you surprised Chris and Rihanna got back together? And so soon? Are you happy, shocked, sickened or sad?

What are your thoughts? Please post in the comments.

20090227mrsobamaportrait First Lady Michelle Obama is wearing a sleeveless black shift dress by Michael Kors in her official portrait, released by the White House today.

Her choice of a sleeveless dress makes the arm-baring style her official signature. Expect her to keep baring her muscular toned arms for the next four years.

Better get used to it, folks.

Michelle wore sleeveless on the recent covers of People and Vogue. And she chose a controversial Narcisco Rodriguez sleeveless black V-neck blouse for her husband's first address before the Congress earlier this week.

But this is the first time Mrs. Obama has worn a dress by Kors, one of the most well-known American designers, thanks to his judge role on the popular reality fashion show, "Project Runway."

Who's next, Christian "Hot Mess" Siriano?

What do you think of the First Lady's choice? We have to admit we love it.

She looks classic, elegant, down-to-earth and appropriate.

And the pearls are perfect. She's totally flawless and completely American.

Jenniferhudsonwhitneyhouston Jennifer Hudson wants everyone to know she's doing "good."

But she doesn't talk with Oprah Winfrey today about the shooting murders of her mother, brother and nephew, the case against William Balfour or how she dealt with the sudden deaths.

On Friday's live episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," the singer simply tells fans that she's happy to return to performing, and that singing at big events such as the Super Bowl is "like therapy" for her.

"[I'm] in a very good place," the Oscar- and Grammy-winner, 27, told Winfrey, according to People.

Oprah asked about Grammy night, and Hudson said that the highlight was being handed her award by Whitney Houston, something that "almost surpassed" winning the award for best R&B album.

The former "American Idol" contestant sang her new single, "If This Isn't Love," for Oprah's audience, but again, avoided talking about the murders of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew.

Presumably, this is because a) it's too painful and always will be and b) she's not supposed to discuss the murder case against  William Balfour that has not yet come to trial.

Hopefully, she talks about her engagement and impending wedding to reality-TV contestant David Ortunga.

Can you say, "TiVo time"?

Ed_mcmahonpneumonia Sad, sad news.

Johnny Carson
's longtime sidekick, Ed McMahon, has been in a hospital for more than a month.

A month? And we are just now hearing about this?

Now TMZ reveals that his condition is "extremely serious. He's in ICU.

Ed is 85 and has bone cancer, other complications and pneumonia. Not a good combo.

Ed's rep, Howard Bragman, has confirmed the TV icon's hospitalization.

He adds, "He's not at Cedars-Sinai."

Bragman was referring to Ed's lawsuit against that hospital for alleged malpractice and elder abuse.

Hang in there, Ed. And don't let them give you any you-know-what.

Jeremypive_kambo_8906208_600 In a three-hour performance for the Actors' Equity Union, award-winning "Entourage" star Jeremy Piven did the finest work in his acting career as he wept real tears (no onions, folks!) while describing the horrendous details of his rare mercury poisoning.

He was so good, he managed to convince five of the 10  panelists that life-threatening mercury poisoning was the cause for his leaving "Speed the Plow" and was in no way a violation of his union contract

The result: He doesn't have to pay any money for breach of contract, reports New York magazine. Bravo! Encore! Give it up for the J-Man!

The five other panel members, all reportedly producers, were not nearly so moved by his tears.

Producers. Bah! What do they know about fine acting and the toll it takes?

After the hearing, Piven tearfully talked with the New York Times and explained that he'd been "incredibly sick" since the second week of rehearsals, and would fall asleep during scenes.

"The biggest misconception was that this all came out of the blue in December and that I came down with this 'sushi-gate' stuff," he said. "At times I was incapable of getting enough oxygen to get my lines out on stage, and sometimes I'd forget where I was in the play."

You weren't the only one wondering where you were in the play, Jeremy.

What's your take on Jeremy's whole sushi-addiction mercury poisoning?

For those of you who have been busy this week holding down a job –- or looking for a job -- taking care of your family, household and paying all your bills on time, you may have missed these revealing video interviews with the attention-seeking missile that is Nadya Suleman, a.k.a Octomom.

When Dr. Phil asks the unemployed, almost homeless Nadya if her babies were "born with a job" that is to fill the empty void that is her selfish soul, she struggles to grasp what he's asking.

Then she replies that no, she doesn't believe in having the older children taking care of the younger ones.

Um, that wasn't the question. Is she related to Dubya?

Arguing with her mother for RadarOnline.com, Nadya talks about getting her masters' degree, what a good writer she is and how she will write a book about her experiences of caring for 14 children in the "middle of the night."

(Watch video after the jump.)

We can't wait to read that.  Perhaps we can pre-order it on Nadya's website, where she is still accepting donations.

Keep reading to watch the hilarious video of Nadya blathering about her education and career aspirations and literary plans, while her exhausted mother Angela just shakes her head in disbelief......

JakegyllenhaaldragAs if the Oscar show filled with more musical numbers than ever wasn't bad enough. Now Jake Gyllenhaal and Jim Carrey will star in a musical?

Variety reports that Jim and Jake will star in a contemporary movie version of the classic musical "Damn Yankees,"  which opened on Broadway in 1955 and won seven Tony Awards.

Oh, heck. It's probably about time.

Not only did Jake break into song onstage at the Palm Springs International Film Festival back in 2006, but his SNL musical debut (check out the photo above) was pretty impressive too.

In the film, Jake will play Joe Boyd, a married middle-aged man whose love of a loser baseball team makes him do a deal with the devil (played by Jim Carrey, naturally).

The devil then transforms him into a slugger to help his team win the World Series.

But who will play the devil's seductive temptress Lola?

Reese Witherspoon? Charlize Theron? Jenny McCarthy?

Please, not Renee Zellweger.
