PETA not wild about Britney Spears' 'Circus' animal act
Well, you knew this had to happen.
Remember when Britney Spears cavorted with a poor snake onstage a few years ago? Then there was an elephant in her recent MTV VMA promo with Russell Brand? Now she's putting captive animals -- elephants and a lion -- through their paces in her new "Circus" music video.
Naturally, PETA is not wild about this. A rep writes: "As Britney is such a victim of the paparazzi and always complaining and crying about how she hates to be held up in her guarded house and can't feel free, she of all people should be able to relate to the horror that captive animals go through when they're used for entertainment. Except Britney chooses to perform, and the lifestyle just comes with it. Animals are ripped away from their mothers at a young age, kept in chains, and prodded with electric shock devices to make them perform."
Yeah, like Britney had anything to do with that animal casting.
Try talking to her manager Larry Rudolph.
He and her dad, Jamie Spears, are the ones putting Britney through her paces.
Poor caged critter that she is.

Can I point out something if I may? The poor girl has had a rough time of it-to be fair through some of her own mistakes but she's trying to get her life back together. Can't the paparazzi try to support her-give her a bit of confidence and make her feel like she's not drowning in negativity! I wish you the best of luck Britney.
I am still amazed at the lengths people will go to to protect animals over protecting humans. I'm not saying that I'm against organizations like PETA - we need them. But maybe if that same passion to protect animals was there to protect humans, the world might be a bit more concerned with the life of a person under constant public scrutiny instead of how well animals were treated during a music video.
Yeah. PETA. The organization that strangles strays they find on the street in the back of vans and kills 90% of the animals in their care. Trust me, the animals are safer with Britney. PETA has no room to talk when it comes to cruelty
