Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is still No. 1 in some people's hearts and minds.
And now her 2009 calendar is currently the No. 1 seller on Amazon.com's list of office products and supplies, beating out a nifty pair of scissors.
The calendar-maker is Judy Patrick, a former Wasilla deputy mayor and F.O.S., as well as an Anchorage-based photog who used her own stash of pix of the governor and her family to create the calendar.

Thank heavens this turned out to be a gag gift for Christmas 2008 and not a portent of the new U.S. vice president taking office in 2009.

I received this calendar for Christmas and I love it. It was not in any way a "gag gift."
No, I do not think our county dodged a bullet. In fact, I'm worried about our county's future, considering the results of said election.

Yes, I beleive we dodged a BIG bullet. Can anyone with a little Intelligence (just a bit of intelligence) imagine someone as incurious as Governor Palin creatively tackling any of the issues facing a PE Obama. The times call for someone who can understand and articulate the issues before they can use their brainpower to come up with a course of action. I don't agree with the folks who blame her inability to articulate coherently an answer to simple question on media bias. Governor Palin should have BLINKED when asked to run for VP.

Well, in Alaska we personally think that, well, what there is to be concerned, if anyone needs to understand the depth of our ideas about these ideas, cannot be overstated or, well, there's more to what we know than what others, thinking that they might be right, are concerned to see that the nation can, well, maintain itself and, of course, health care reform and creating more jobs for mavericks.
