Recession? What recession?
Layoffs, cutbacks, bailouts and bankruptcies are no concern for Jamie Spears, who has the most secure job on the planet, micromanaging his talented daughter Britney Spears' career and life.
And he's doing such a great job that he just got himself a raise! He's now making about $75 an hour to look after his own daughter, something I think -- and correct me if I'm wrong -- most dads would do for free.
According to People, a Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner boosted Papa Spears' conservatorship income by $51,000.
Since February, Jamie, 56, has been looking after Britney to the tune of $10,000 a month.
Court Commissioner Reva Goetz has now raised Daddy's fee to about $16,000 a month.
Here's the kicker. Goetz also made the pay raise retroactive.
Wait, there's more.
Jamie was also given an additional $1,200 a month for "office expenses," which Goetz said was justified by Britney's personal and professional life being back on track.
Is it any wonder that Britney feels like Jamie's personal trained monkey?
No way she's ever getting out of this circus.
She'll be singing and dancing for Daddy until he's in the grave.

They went through all those schoolings to make this kind of decision...
You know what?! I don't see how Brit is going to really go back to normal by being controlled by people who only loves her money!
He is her DAD! He should recongnize she is his responsibility regardless, yes, she is and adult, but she is your daughter!!
Come on, handling Spears' affairs are a full-time job. The man has to eat. Beyonce surely pays her dad AND mom. Venus Williams, too. If he's keeping her estate together and it's growing, surely he deserves the money.
why should her father work for free as he needs to have an income and if some other person is paid the same amount to manage her career why should he not be paid fairly too. he has done a wonderful job of bringing her back to dignity and life so allow the man who rescued her to have the same dignity and respect her brought back to her his own.
