The world's first man to give birth to a baby is doing it again.
Thomas Beatie, the former Hawaiian beauty queen who became a man, caused a worldwide clamor when the transgendered male gave birth to his own daughter in June.
Now, he's announced he's pregnant with his second child, due on June 12.
In an upcoming interview with Barbara Walters in a special on ABC, Beatie says that after the birth of his daughter on June 24, he didn't resume male hormone treatment so he could get pregnant again. His wife is unable to conceive a child because she had a hysterectomy.
Beatie's story will air Friday. Walters highlighted the interview on her daytime chat show, "The View," today.
"I feel good," Beatie told Walters. "I had my checkups with my hormone level. ... And everything is right on track."

I'm happy for him! As long as a child as a parent or guardian to give them love and raise them properly, I don't care who the person is.
We seriously need to start making more babies in the U.S. (Especially White people) because the White population is aging so fast. Don't call me racist, because I'm not even white.
When is the press going to get it?--the dude-looking woman is just that --a woman who lopped off her breasts and took testosterone--but the DNA still is MALE!! Nothing can change it.
The freak show here in Bend is starting all over again with the so-called "pregnant man." If this is your way of selling more papers and keeping the cash flowing to this lesbian couple with a baby, you need to have your hands examined. It's a freak show, and an innocent baby is being thrust into it by two very selfish "parents." No conscientious parent would not do this to a child.
A congratulations to their family. The title of this article is somewhat misleading, though. Mr. Beatie is not the first transman to give birth after transitioning, although at this point he is certainly the most famous.
I would really appreciate it if the news/media would stop referring to the transgendered woman who is giving birth as "a man". It is extremely insulting to our intelligence. We REFUSE to accept this as socially acceptable, and you might mention to the owner of your media outlet that if they continue to run stories such as this, they will be losing their following--WHY? Because this is a Jerry Springer story, NOT newsworthy and certainly not even worth the time I have taken to post this email.
Yeah, he's not the first by a longshot.

Agree with other postings - THIS IS A WOMAN who chooses to look like a man. SHE had a vaginal birth - get it? There is no way that the other woman in this scenario could be lactating either - I don't care what she claims. She may be doing comfort nursing but she is not providing nourishment to that baby period.

We need to stop judging others!! These two people love each other and they have a baby together. The baby is lucky to have such loving parents!!
I first saw you on Oprah and I was a bit shocked. I have no problem understanding the whole transgender thing. I knew when I was 5 that I was born in the wrong body. I will be 47 in a few weeks and I wonder if I will ever get that same chance as you , Thomas , got! For me maybe not, because of finances.
