Sarah Palin pardons a turkey, misses the slaughter
Hey, "Saturday Night Live"! Here's your Thanksgiving Weekend Update lead story. What a gift.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin pardons Tom the Turkey, then blabbles on, making little to no sense (as usual), while talking turkey and politics to a news crew.
What she does not know is that at least two helpless turkeys are being slaughtered in the background, their legs wiggling as their heads are stuffed into a grinder by a smiling camera-hog executioner.
Nice to see someone who enjoys their work, huh?
And so, apparently, did Palin.
"This was neat. I was happy to get to be invited to participate in this," Palin said with a smile. " You need a bit of levity in this job," she admits.
And that's exactly what she added to the 2008 presidential campaign. Levity.
Do you miss Sarah Palin? Seriously? Tell us why.
Oh, and happy almost Turkey Day!

She is a gift from God for the Democratic Party.
I miss her like a fat kid misses cake. The entertainment value of this clueless woman is unlimited!
Yes, I do miss Palin for her entertainment value, but hope the majority don't take her seriously as a candidate for national office. This is hilarious and illustrates that she's quite oblivious (I feel bad for the turkeys, though).
Even when she is grinning so esagerly, Palin's voice has a persistent, irritating whine to it. Imagine when she is going off her brain and actually whining.
If I never have to watch or listen to her for the next forty years, that will be forty years too soon.
Her comment about getting government out of people's lives is laughable. Can you imagine what a constrictive and corrupt regime she would administer, and what little help she would actually provide people where it did not serve her interests.
It was NOT a grinder!!!!
They are placed into a cone-like device, the head protruding out of the hole on the bottom.... and then the neck is cut, and the bird is bled out.
As gross, and bloody as it is... the cone reduces the stress on the animal... and makes the butchering process quicker, and more efficient.
The folks on MSNBC got it wrong this morning... and that incorrect info has ben making the rounds on the net.
They need to report that they made an error during the story... or folks will get the wrong impression about farming in America.
And don't go all PETA on me... I know better about farming, as I raise organic chickens in Texas.
Where's a good old fashioned agricultural accident when you need one!? They shredded the wrong turkey, that's for sure...
Unbelievable!
Okay, turkeys (and countless other farm animals) are killed every day so that we can eat them -- ceremoniously or otherwise. I get it. But Palin's cluelessness is breathtaking! If this isn't parodied on SNL then their writers should be put in the same turkey grinder.
You don't sound biased do you? What do you eat for Thanksgiving? How do you think it was brought to market for you, or would you rather pretend that it is magic...
Once again this dimwit shows the world what a joke she really is. Oh, I get it. Spare a life, take a life ........or 500. She is completely oblivious to everything around her except her own yapping!!!
