TwitterAshlee Simpson, Pete Wentz name new son Bronx Mowgli?
Ashlee Simpson and her "Fall Out Boy" husband Pete Wentz have finally welcomed their son.
So let's have a Bronx cheer!
No, really.
The new baby's name is Bronx Mowgli Wentz and he weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long.
No clue yet on the basis of the Bronx moniker.
But Mowgli is the name of the character in Rudyard Kipling's short story "In the Rukh," and is best known for being the lead in the popular animated film, "The Jungle Book," inspired by Kipling's work.
"Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!" a spokesperson told People.
Guess the animated character middle name makes sense given the fact that Ashlee and Pete had an Alice In Wonderland-themed wedding and a Winnie the Pooh-themed baby shower
Could have been worse. Could have been Pooh, Piglet, Eyore or Mad Hatter.

I bet the name is really Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz IV - they are pulling a prank on the press.
OK, so the, "What's the weirdest name we can think of for our baby in Hollywood" game is still going on. Other than that, is that a really bad cut and paste job on Pete's head in the picture or is his head really that freakishly big?
What is wrong with celebrities these days? Yet another poor child doomed with a terrible name. Why don't these people think? Bronx just isn't a good name. Its a wonderful borough but not a good name for a person. It doesn't ever sound right without the definitive article. I can't stand when celebrities do this. Neither Ashlee nor Pete have any connection to New York. Hes from Illinois shes from Texas. Then its not even that original when you consider Brooklyn Beckham, which at least flows of the tongue even though at best Brooklyn is a girls name. Bronx Wentz is a nightmare to say. I hope this kid goes by Mowgli, I'm sure Ashlee has no idea who Rudyard Kipling is but at least its a name and not a county.

Congratulations to Ashlee and Pete. Such a cute and nice couple! I think they will be wonderful parents! The name is cute! Bronx is a really cute simple name that their son will enjoy. It sounds manly, artistic, creative, and solid. Great going you two -- you THREE, now! Love to all.
