Is Tina Brown all washed up in Hollywood?

The former powerful Vanity Fair editor had a brilliant idea to launch her new Hollywood website the Daily Beast (the name's an homage to Evelyn Waugh's "Scoop"), bankrolled by Barry Diller.

How about ... a Hollywood Power List!

Yawn.

But according to Nikki Finke's blog, no one's interested in being on it. "The idea is so 1980s. Both Premiere and EW have abandoned their lists, thank god, and Vanity Fair's is totally different," one Hollywood source contacted by Brown's people told Finke. "I think she wanted to stir up a frenzy. But a lot of us are saying, 'Thanks but no thanks. We're not going to participate. We don't care if you list us or not.'"

Oh, don't worry, Tina. I'll bet Harvey Weinstein will want to be on it.

Nikki Finke has many of her facts completelyl wrong. Tina Brown is still quite the force and completely respected. Harvey Weinstein pulled the rug under her from Talk-(magazines take years to turn a profit-Talk only existed for almost 2 years) and Premiere is no more. I hate to say it, but Nikki is just a bitter, jealous woman. People always underestimate Tina-but she has had numerous successes in all areas. She made The New Yorker and Vanity Fair the prestigious magazines they are today. And her books are always best sellers. I know her site will be intelligent, provoking and exciting. Tina Brown will surprise everyone with the success of her new site. She always does.
