There's a very simple reason we often see stars posing with adorable fluffy puppies.

Everyone looks better with puppies. It's an undeniable fact of life.

Even me, seen below with my 8-month-old Maltese, Toby.

Tobymaltese_elizabethsnead__2With the puppy, kinda cute. Put your thumb over the puppy and take him outta the picture? Ehh, not so cute.

To prove my totally unscientific theory, I've compiled a gallery of Stars Who Look Cuter With Puppies (CLICK HERE) that includes Lindsay Lohan, "Gossip Girl" Blake Lively, Rebecca Romijn, Joss Stone, Hayden Panettiere, "GG" Taylor Momsen, Amanda Bynes, Jessica Simpson, Hilary and Haylie Duff, and more, all photographed with pups.

Check it out and decide if you agree that everyone (even Andy Dick, Elizabeth Taylor and Perez Hilton) looks cuter with puppies and dogs.

And don't get mad at me, cat lovers. There just aren't very many photos of stars with kittens. But I'm sure the same is true.

At least, that's what my rescue kitty, Gremlyn, insists.

Well. its one way to wear REAL fur these days ! Kittens are cute ,too. But puppies are easier to carry.

Ah, dogs as a fashion accessory. I can't be the only one who doubts Lindsay Lohan's ability to care for a dog, can I?

That pom is no puppy! If he is, he's going to be GIANT!

I bet onbodies pup is cuter than mine. Can one submit snaps to prove it?

Newsflash : You're not cute! You're decaying!

Dear David:

Jeepers, I thought I looked pretty good for 87. Anyway, your remark reminded me of an inscription inside the Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccin in Rome, filled with a macabre decorative display of skeletons.

Loosely translated from the Latin:

"What you are now, we once were; what we are now, you shall be."

Might wanna write that down and save it for later.

Yours truly,

the Crypt Keeper

Dear Lisa,

Yes, yes, send in a snap, i will definitely post a pix of your cute puppy!

I gotta warn you, These Dish Rag readers can be vicious. check out "young" David's remark about my decaying process.

At least he didn't rag on my puppy! Then i would have to kill him. Slowly.

You know, we bloggers do have ways of finding out where readers live....

(insert maniacal vincent price laugh here)

Elizabeth, Your amazing! Lets just let the Italians talk to that "David". Then we shall really know the meaning of "decaying." LOL for real. Dogs Rule-People suck!
