Fashion emergency: Katie Holmes needs new jeans

Katie Holmes was spotted walking the streets of Manhattan this week wearing what looks suspiciously like the same pair of distressed, baggy, boyfriend jeans. For three days in a row.

Although the pair in the middle - with a looser, decidedly more countrified fit - could be loaners from the Farmer in the Dell. Breaking news: Us Weekly is reporting that the jeans in the first photo really are Tom Cruise's Prps! Seems Katie rolled them up because Tom is two inches shorter than she is.

You're in not in Kansas - or, for that matter, Los Angeles - anymore. Women tend to dress a bit more polished in the Big Apple. And those destroyed denims are not doing you any favors.

We know you're just hitting the boards on Broadway, but notch it up a bit. Support the local economy and patronize Manhattan's queen Bs (Bendel's, Bergdorf's and Barney's).

Didn't you ever watch "Sex and the City"? C'mon, channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw. We know you have a little Armani and some Manolos hiding in the closet.

Let's see some wardrobe pizazz while you're appearing on Broadway.

On an up note, we are totally loving the new shorter, boyish do. Very flattering and tres Jean Seberg. (She's an old-time French film actress. Ask Tom.)
