Barack Obama calls John McCain a celebrity. So there!
Who you callin' a celebrity?
I'm not a celebrity, you''re a celebrity! No, YOU'RE a celebrity!
The presidential campaign mudslinging really gets going with Sen. Barack Obama striking back at Sen. John McCain, calling him "Washington's biggest celebrity" and showing him on talk shows and palling around with President Bush, thus linking him to the Washington insider politics-as-usual game.
"For decades, he's been Washington's biggest celebrity. John McCain," the new Obama ad intones, as McCain bearhugs Bush. "And as Washington embraced him, John McCain hugged right back."
Has "celebrity" become a dirty word? Who's the bigger celebrity, Obama or McCain? Which is more odious, a Hollywood celebrity or a Washington celebrity?
Did someone just say, "I'm rubber and you're glue. Whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you"?
So far, I like Paris Hilton's celebrity video best.

It's really funny how celebrity word is being treated but Obama had to get back to McCain for the dumb ad. Obama's ad is of course, more sophisticated. He is not negative even the portrayal comes off with class. Please vote for Obama, he will make a good president. Visit WHYOBAMA08.ORG!
Nanny, Nanny popo. I'm obummer and I'm not happy about being called a celeb!
I guess now is a good time to tell Obummer and his supporters to "Get over it!"
hehe
From a Clinton Supporter that will vote McCain
country before Party!
I like Barack Obama's new TV ad. John McCain has been attacking ruthlessly for awhile. And Obama made point quite well. I agree with what he said. John McCain past documented history reveals ad is true. Present attacks reveal McCain is definitely using Karl Rove and campaign strategist for President Bush's Campaign. Karl Rove is actually hired by Republican Freedom Watch Group which has backing of some super rich people. Rove is most definitely helping John McCain Campaign. Rove seems to carry out the nasty work, but seems to be quite good at avoiding legal problems. Maybe???
I've never understood how someone who is a hilary supporter can go completely against everything Hilary stands for by voting McCain.
Hilary has just as liberal of a voting record as Obama. What does that say about your values that you will go against them out of spite because of a lost primary? Or is it a racism thing?
Democrats courting all Republican and Independent voters.

Now Obama sounds like a child celebrity. He needs to go home to Chicago.
Just a couple of observations-
- what problem could Republicans possibly have with celebrity? Their biggest modern hero rode his Hollywood fame into office...
- and what is it with Republicans making up schoolyard-style names for their opponents (Obummer?) If you're old enough to vote, you should act old enough to vote.
A Clinton supporter that will vote for McCain...?
Never underestimate the power of a woman's grudge.
From a Clinton supporter that will vote for Obama. Yes, it's about what is best for the country not about my feelings being hurt...grow up and get over it!
IS McCAIN'S CAMPAIGN GETTING TORPEDOED BY HIS OWN SUPPORT SYSTEM?

It sure looks like it.
It's the level on which Obama is required to communicate. The Census Bureau reports that 78% of Americans 25 years and older do not have college degrees -- a sure indicator of the sophistication of the American polity. Sophomoric tit-for-tat, name calling, false dichotomies, false equivalences, parochialism -- all these things play on the TV-addled American masses. It's why we continue to elect marginally intelligent, dogmatically-driven, good ole boys.
