Madonna's ex Lenny Kravitz seeing Alex Rodriguez's wife Cynthia?

New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez has been rumored to be spending some late nights with Madonna at her New York apartment, according to the New York Post and Us Weekly.

Now we hear -- again from the all-seeing eye of the New York Post -- that Cynthia Rodriguez, A-Rod-s wife, is dating Madonna's former flame, rocker Lennie Kravitz?

And they're in Paris together!

Oh, and A-Rod and Cyn's young daughters, Natasha, 3, and Ella, 2 months old, are in Miami.

How does this even happen?

Wait, it gets worse -- I mean, better.

The Material Girl "collaborated" with Lennie on "Justify My Love" in 1990 and they were, surprise! romantically linked during the project.

Madonna's seeing divorce lawyers and hubby Guy Ritchie has flown to N.Y. to see his wife and was caught by TMZ's cameras this week after a dinner a deux, holding hands and acting lovey-dovey.

Gosh, this is hard to keep straight. How do these people find time for all this romantic intrigue? Don't they have jobs?

And of course, no one is confirming all this. Everyone's "just friends," Madonna's marriage is fine, sez her pub Liz Rosenberg. And Cyn's mom says she's not with Lenny.  Even Lenny says she's not with him.

But frankly, this is the best publicity Madonna's "Hard Candy" world tour -- and Guy Ritchie's due-to-open this-fall film, "RocknRolla," (starring Gerard Butler, Jeremy Piven, Thandie Newton, Tom Wilkinson and Ludacris) could possibly get.

Keep in mind this is the film that some say might save Ritchie's film directing career.

Hey, you don't think ... Nyah.

Create romantic rumors for monetary gain and career advancement? Madonna?

Call me suspicious.
