Actress Christina Applegate's on-again/off-again boyfriend, Lee Grivas, was found dead at his apartment on July 1 by a neighbor. No autopsy has been conducted, but so far there are no signs of foul play.
The National Enquirer broke the story with a source who says Grivas may have died of a drug overdose.
"Applegate and Grivas, a 26-year-old skateboarder and photographer, had a rocky on-again, off-again relationship due to his continual battle with drugs and alcohol," according to the Enquirer. "But the couple had decided to give it one last shot this past April when Grivas made another attempt at getting clean."
Apparently, Grivas had a history of drug problems dating back to his teens. Applegate broke up with him a number of times because of his struggles with getting clean.
Twenty-six. That's just so sad. All our prayers for him and condolences to Applegate.

To use a photo referencing a dead body and to make a "Whodunit" joke in light of this awful, awful tragedy is something I'd expect of perez or tmz, NOT the LA Times. Thoughts and prayers to all affected.

Starting this article with a "clever" quip is tasteless and disrespectful. This is a sad story and doesn't need a jokey lede to suck the reader in. I suggest you remove the "whodunnit" joke before others see it.

Have you never lost a friend or a loved one? No matter what the circumstances, this man had a family somewhere and loved ones who are grieving. Way to twist the knife in an open wound Liz.

I am sure that his survivors are not reading this article.
The prospect of waking up with Christina Appelgate lying next to him should have helped inspire him to survive.
People like him only serve to bring other people down with them
