Tim Russert's son, Luke Russert: 'There was always a lot of love.'
Tim Russert's son, Luke, appeared on the "Today" show this morning to talk about his father, his memories and how the family is coping with his dad's sudden death from a heart attack.
"I spoke to him at least two to three times a day," Luke said. "It had to do with the election coming up, sports or just about life. There was always a lot of love from him. We would always hug. There's not a day that goes by that I have not known my father loves me. For that, I'm eternally grateful."
The 22-year-old has a tattoo of his dad's initials.
OK, I think I'm gonna cry. How incredibly sad that Father's Day will always be so sad for Russert's family.
Is it a good thing, or a bad thing, that Father's Day was so close to Tim Russert's death?
Maybe it's a good way to commemorate the newsman?
